Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy will be the last pairing out at St Andrew's this afternoon after they manoeuvred their way to the top of the leaderboard with a commanding four shot lead ahead of the chasing pack.

Both shot brilliant six-under par 66s on Saturday to move to -16 with Cameron Smith and Cameron Young both leading the rest of the field on -12.

It looks like we're all set for a thrilling head-to-head in the final round. McIlroy who was tipped by The Caddy pre-tournament at 10/1 is now the 10/11 favourite to win his first major in eight years while Hovland is rated a 13/8 chance. Beyond that you can have Cameron Smith at 12s, Scottie Scheffler at 20/1 and Cameron Young at 22/1.

Best of luck if you've backed McIlory this weekend. If our Fantasy Golf competition is anything to go by then that could be a fair few of you. Over half of you picked the Irishman in your three man team.

@titchsloan leads the way going in to the final round on -38 with his trio of players (McIlroy, Smith, Johnson), closely followed by The Master who has Spieth instead of Johnson.

Here's how the Competition Leaderboard looks overnight…

titchsloan R McIlroy -16 C Smith -12 D Johnson -10 -38
TheMaster R McIlroy -16 C Smith -12 J Spieth -8 -36
ben R McIlroy -16 S Scheffler -11 P Cantlay -8 -35
sless1903 S Lowry -7 C Smith -12 R McIlroy -16 -35

Good luck to everyone still in with a shout of the top prize worth £250.

Today's live match in the Scottish League Cup should be an intriguing one. Bonnyrigg Rose gained promotion to the SPFL last season and announced their arrival in this season's cup competition with a win over League One side on Wednesday.

Today they host Premiership side Hibs who suffered defeat at the hands of Falkirk, another League One side, in midweek. New Hibs boss Lee Johnson looks to have made some good additions to his squad in the Summer but that defeat on Tuesday was a wake-up call early in to his regime and has piled some early pressure on to him ahead of this afternoon's match.

SlipsTips has maked the visitors out for a win however and has found a couple of angles of attack in his match preview.

Today's Super Single comes from the Eliterserien in Norway where Rosenborg look well priced to win at Aalesund. The hosts gained promotion from OBOS-Ligaen last season and have arguably over-performed in the first half of the season. They find themselves in seventh place, two positions behind today's opponents.

They've picked up a very respectable 20 points so far but have lost all four games against top four teams. Rosenborg currently sit in fifth and have lost just one of their last eight so 7/4 looks a fair price for the visitors who have a game or two in hand on the teams above them and could still force their way in to the title race.

Big day today up at St Andrews!

With Rory, Cam Smith, Fleetwood, Cantlay and Spieth all occupying E/W place spots (12 with Betfair) and Finau and Burns with a chance of a top 40 finish, it’s safe to say I’ve not been as invested in an event this much since the infamous Ronny Deila information that made it’s way to this site back in 2014 💰💰💰 the tipsters name evades me but thanks for buying me my first car 👍😂

Away from the golf today I fancy a nice priced Rugby League double.

South Sydney/Catalan Dragons double @ Evens

Both could and should win pretty comfortably despite being away from home.

    Good luck 👍

Yeah I remember the Deila info, it was Chrisguy, loads from the site were on. Happy Days indeed!!🤑

Staking plan went out of the window with every added bit of information and every price change 😂

Wasn’t sure if that many on here were around back then to still remember it.
Massive gamble of trust looking back but what a cracking bit of info it was 👍

    🇳🇴Molde v Haugesund🇳🇴
    🇳🇴Viking v Kristiansund🇳🇴

🔘Bet: Molde + Viking to win
    📈9/10 or 1.91
    💰NAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sometimes it’s easy to be too clever and look for obscure betting angles when the simplest one is staring you in the face. I’m going back to basics on this one – the bog standard win market.

Molde and Viking should win their games comfortably, simple as that. Molde are absolutely flying and are imperious at home. Apart from the draw v Jerv (where they missed a pen + loads of chances) they’ve won their other 5 games in a row (5-1,2-1,3-1,2-1,3-0). In their last 11 games, they’ve won 11 and drawn 2. They host a Haugesund team who are just 2 places outside the relegation zone. When playing better teams, Haugesund really struggle. They’ve conceded 5 at Viking and 3 at Rosenberg. Historically, Molde really enjoy playing Haugesund. They’ve won all of their last 10 meetings! Molde should cruise this.

Viking got a much needed stoppage time win away at top of table Lillestrom last weekend, which should give them the shot in the arm they need. They couldn’t wish for a better game up next, they host hapless Kristiansund who have lost 10 of their 11 league games, drawing the other. Horrific. K’sund have lost all 5 away games, scoring only 2 and conceding 11. It will be a monumental shock for 3rd place Viking not to win at home to the worst team in the league with a 91% losing record.
    🇳🇴Sarpsborg v Vålerenga🇳🇴
    🇳🇴Viking v Kristiansund🇳🇴

    🔘Bet: Sarpsborg over 0.5 goals/Sarpsborg over 3.5 corners + K’sund over 2.5 corners
    📈20/21 or 1.95
    💰NB ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sarpsborg are a dangerous team at home, enjoying plenty of corners and goals. They’ve scored in 6/7 home games, all except the very first game of the season, including a whopping 9 in their last 2 at home. They love to attack and should get their obligatory goal against lowly Vålerenga who’ve conceded in every away game. Sarpsborg also hit good corner numbers at home. They average 7.1 corners at home and have managed to hit the 4+ line in every single home game (6,6,7,12,6,9,4). Really impressive corner numbers. This bet would have landed in all of Sarpsborgs last 6 home games and has an 87% success rate overall.

To top up the double to evens, I’ve included Kristiansund to get 3 or more corners. Despite being winless and bottom, Kristiansund live a corner. They’ve hit over 2.5 corners in EVERY league game. The longest it’s taken them to hit 3 corners has been the 75th minute. They spend most of their games chasing a deficit and they’ll more than be doing that away at Viking, which should bring about a few flag kicks.

Statistically, this bet has a 93.5% success rate. With that in mind, a shade under even money seems superb value.

    Good luck all 👍🏻

Well done those who backed winners, great tournament it is, along with the masters and Ryder cup the only Comps I watch in all honesty.
pity Rory didn’t get the win for many on the site but he returned ew for those who backed that market.
Despite not winning he is the best player in the world right now, so consistent this year.

Best thing is none of those money grabbing LIV scabs won 😂
Reports in Sweden suggest Ryder cup captain Henrik Stenson is heading to Liv, if that’s the case he should be stripped of the captaincy.
    Opinions ?????

😂🤣😂🤣😂Who doesn’t or who wouldn’t do with some money, let them go and others will take their places

    • elvis parsley 4 weeks ago

Fair point but they want the best of both worlds, competing in PGA events and also wanting world ranking points for their liv competition which in outrageous.

I don’t blame them for taking the money like you say but their ties with the main tour should stop.

I’d go a step further and when the Liv circus ends, which like the similar Kerry packer cricket breakaway did years ago (you have to be a certain age to remember that) I would ban them for a further period after that…

    • Wakeyt 4 weeks ago

Well done Elvis 👏👏👏👏 Some tasty returns there.

I placed a few wagers on Cam the man for The Open after watching how well he performed in the Masters. Would have loved Rory to win, but for big returns of small stakes , I was cheering on Cam.
      Cameron Smith ✅
Adam Scott Top 20 finish ✅

    • Wakeyt 4 weeks ago

Personally think Stenson would have to step down, I’m pretty sure the European players wouldn’t him as captain.
Kerry Packer was different, as the cricketers at that time were paid buttons, all the gate money and sponsorship went to the boards of their relevant countries. The DP and PGA tours do pay extremely well.
The LIV golfers should be permanently banned from ever playing again on the tours. If they are allowed to play. Can you imagine in a years time Poulter playing along side Fitzpatrick, in say, TPC Sawgrass. Poulter saying “well played Matty in winning the US Open, but I have earned 10 times what you have for playing a handful of events and here I am back playing the same tournaments as you.

      Get shot of them
