As we head in to the World Cup break Arsenal will be top of the Premier League table at Christmas – but it's not the portent for success you'd think it might be.

I think a lot of it is down to how many games have been played by teams competing in Europe,to start a season by playing every 3 days is unheard of the games are usually spread out,look at Chelsea,City losing to Brentford at home,teams are suffering lots of injuries.If you look at Rangers they were in a European cup final not so long back and they knocked some good teams out but i don’t think they ever recovered from that,the same happened to Spurs when they lost the Champions league final it took a lot out of them.
