After delivering three winners from four selections on Saturday, SlipsTips returns with his favourite fancy from France on Sunday.
Troyes vs Strasbourg (Sunday, 14:00)
Strasbourg will have the chance to all but secure Ligue 1 safety when they travel to already-relegated Troyes on Sunday afternoon.
Frédéric Antonetti's visitors have taken a big step towards guaranteeing their top-flight status for next term following back-to-back 2-0 wins over both Nantes and Nice respectively.
As for Troyes, their two-year stay in the top tier of French football is reaching its final stages after a calamitous campaign, with their 4-0 reverse at Rennes last Sunday confirming their relegation to Ligue 2.
Naturally, Strasbourg are short priced 4/7 favourites here, however I'm happy to highlight an alternative angle of attack in the goalscorer market.
Strasbourg striker Habibou Diallo has been priced up at even-money (Bet 365) to score at anytime on Sunday and that price looks particularly enticing.
Having scored seven goals in as many games, the Senegalese striker has almost single handedly dragged his side towards safety and his purple patch in front of goal is showing no signs of slowing down.
In fact, only Alexandre Lacazette, Kylian Mbappé and Jonathan David have scored more Ligue 1 goals than Diallo this season, with the Strasbourg sharpshooter currently sitting on 20 strikes.
Diallo will therefore be licking his lips at the prospect of going up against a Troyes team that have failed to win any of their last 18 league games, picking up a paltry four points in the process.
Unsurprisingly, Patrick Kisnorbo’s side have failed to keep their sheets clean during the above-mentioned sequence, with their solitary shutout of the season coming against fellow strugglers Nantes way back in December.
With all that in mind, backing Diallo to strike at evens (Bet 365) against an injury-ravaged Troyes team already doomed to the drop is just too big to ignore.
