Dunfermline will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Premier Sports Cup when they play host to Buckie Thistle on Tuesday night.
James McPake’s men made a winning start in Group C with a 2-0 success on Saturday, on an afternoon where my recommended bet landed.
As for Buckie Thistle, they gave top-flight Ross County a scare on Saturday by battling to a 1-1 draw before losing the subsequent penalty shootout.
While that performance will offer the Highland League outfit plenty of encouragement ahead of this fixture, the Pars could prove difficult to topple on home turf.
Hopes for Dunfermline are high coming into the new campaign and the early signs are certainly promising if pre-season results and the aforementioned win at East Fife are anything to go by.

Albion Rovers vs Cove Rangers (Tuesday, 19:45)
Cove Rangers kick-off their Scottish League Cup campaign with a trip to Cliftonhill to take on Albion Rovers on Tuesday night.
After securing promotion to the second tier for the first time in their history last term, the Balmoral club have a new man in the dugout after Paul Hartley left at the end of last season.
New boss Jim McIntyre has plenty of experience in the SPFL and he will be keen to get his tenure off to a winning start.
As for Albion Rovers, they may well be set for a season of struggle following last season’s eight place finish in Scottish League Two
While Brain Reid’s boys showed plenty of spirit in their 3-2 loss to Livingston last time out, they will now need to deal well with the quick turnaround ahead of Tuesday night.
Given the attacking threat that the visitors will carry, coupled with the fact they struck twice against St Johnstone in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, I’ll round off the 7/8 (Bet 365 ) selection with over one Cove Rangers goal.
