SlipsTips is back with a Bet Builder ahead of Friday nights Fife derby between Raith Rovers and Dunfermline.

Raith Rovers vs Dunfermline (Friday, 19:45)

Friday nights televised Scottish Championship fixture sees Fife foes Raith Rovers and Dunfermline square off at Starks Park.

John McGlynn's men punched above their weight in the second-tier last season but they have taken just one point from a possible six so far.

That said, the Kirkcaldy club will head into this clash in high spirits after claiming the scalp of Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup last weekend.

Dunfermline have also made a poor start to their own Scottish Championship campaign and last weekend's League Cup mauling at Ibrox will have done little to lift the mood at East End Park.

The bookies odds for this bout suggest things could get worse before they get better for Peter Grant and Co but I'm going to swerve the match result market and instead head to McBookie's Bet Builder feature.

The 9/10 (McBookie) combination that I like the look of on Friday night is over zero match goals and over 3.5 match cards.

There were plenty of thrills in this fixture last season, with each of the three derbies during the regular season yielding at a minimum of four match strikes, not to mention two of those tussles crashed through the 4.5 goal barrier.

What's more, each of Dunfermline's championship outings thus far have produced three or more goals while Raith played out a chaotic 4-4 draw with Hamilton in their curtain-raiser in Kirkcaldy last month.

With all that in mind, I'm more than happy to side with at least one match goal here, but given this derby has thrown up some fiery fixtures over the past few years, I'll also chuck over 3.5 match cards into the mix.

Both of these local rivals are bound to be fired up in a bid to bank their first three points of the season and that coupled with a bumper Starks Park crowd should contribute to a closely-fought contest in front of the TV cameras.

Referee Gavin Duncan has been selected to take charge of this dust-up and it's worth noting that the Scottish whistler flashed three yellows and one red during his most recent assignment.

What's more, the aforementioned combination clicked during all three meetings at this venue last season and I'm happy to support the same formula on Friday night given that a fervent Fife crowd will be roaring both rivals on.

Cheers Footiefan77. Sky Bet hadn’t priced up cards at the time of writing but it looks like the even-money is long gone. BOL
