Sunday's recommended Bet Builder rounded off a great weekend and I'm hoping to make a winning start to what is an action-packed week on Tuesday night.

Salzburg vs Bayern Munich (Tuesday, 20:00)

The Bayern Munich juggernaut rolls on to Austria on Tuesday night for a Champions League Group A clash with Red Bull Salzburg.

Bayern's bid to retain the trophy has started with two wins from two and it's worth noting that the reigning champions have now triumphed in each of their last 13 tussles at Europe's top table.

Closer to home the German giants climbed back to the summit of the Bundesliga after a 2-1 win away at Koln on Saturday and Hansi Flick's star-studded side can take a huge stride towards the last-16 of the Champions League at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night.

Salzburg opened with a lively 2-2 draw at home to Lokomotiv Moscow before falling to a 3-2 defeat away at Atletico Madrid last time out, and another goal-laden match involving Jesse's Marsch's men could lie ahead this midweek.

The Red Bulls have banged in 24 Austrian Bundesliga goals this term – averaging a staggering four strikes per game – and with that in mind, coupled with the serious firepower that Flick has at his disposal, I fancy goals to flow in Salzburg.

There is very little value in backing either both teams to score or over 2.5 match goals, therefore I'm going to get creative by making use of the Bet 365 Bet Builder feature.

The 20/23 combination that I like the look of with Bet 365 is Bayern Munich to score over one goal and both teams to collect over zero cards.

The men from Munich have made the net bulge at least twice in 12 of their last 13 Champions League matches and I suspect they will have to notch up two or more strikes to overcome free-scoring Salzburg on Tuesday night.

Both teams have obliged in 10 of Salzburg's last 11 outings in Europe's elite club competition, while eight of Bayern's last nine assignments at this level have produced three or more strikes

With an open and entertaining encounter anticipated in Austria there should be no shortage of fouls and I'm happy to back both teams to collect at least one card during this dust-up.

What's more, the above-mentioned Bet Builder has banked in five of Bayern Munich's last six matches across all competitions and that only adds to the appeal of siding with a repeat on Tuesday night at 20/23 with Bet 365.

Recommended Bet

  • Bayern Munich Over 1 Goal, Salzburg Over 0 Cards & Bayern Munich Over 0 Cards – Bet Builder – 20/23 (Bet 365)

Considering the attacking nature of Salzburg do you think its a bit risky to add over o corners 1st half Salzburg to boost it to 6/5?

I wouldn’t put you off that but first half bets make me nervous. Best of luck if you go for it.
