Brentford vs Fulham (Tuesday 19:45)

THE richest game in football takes place on Tuesday night as Brentford and Fulham battle it out for the lucrative benefits of a place in the English Premier League.

The Championship playoff final is notorious for being a cagey and low-scoring affair and this year's edition again looks finely poised.

Brentford are the bookies favorites but the Bees buckled under the pressure when letting automatic promotion slip through their grasp while Fulham will take confidence from their playoff triumph two seasons ago.

Given what's at stake coupled with the fact that this is west London derby I'm going to steer clear of the more traditional markets, however, there is an alternative angle that has caught my eye in Sky Bet's Request A Bet market.

The combination of both teams to take at least one corner in each half and both teams to collect 10+ booking points gives us a nicely priced 10/11 shot with Sky Bet.

Both of these sides were ranked among the top-six during the regular season for average corners taken with Brentford averaging 6.20 per-game while Fulham were hitting 5.74 on average.

What's more, both teams have very adept wingers on both flanks who between them posses plenty of pace and flair, all of which adds to the appeal of siding with the above-mentioned combination.

It's also worth noting that both sides games were featuring over 10 match corners across the regular season so I'm more than happy to back both teams to hit at least one corner either side of the interval on Tuesday night.

Furthermore, throwing in 10+ booking points for each team alongside the aforementioned corner angle doesn't look like too much to ask for here given the intensity and magnitude of this fixture.

The last three English Championship playoff finals have produced 16 cards in total and there's plenty of potential for cynical fouls with a place in the promised land up for grabs.

Indeed, there will be no Wembley crowd, however, the stakes couldn't be higher in this capital clash and add to that the all-London element of this encounter, a card apiece should go close.
