SlipsTips shares his favourite fancy from Scotland's crunch World Cup qualifier with Austria on Tuesday night.
Austria vs Scotland (Tuesday, 19:45)
Scotland have much work to do if they are to qualify for next year's World Cup and they face the stern test of taking on Austria on Tuesday night.
Steve Clarke's side laboured to a 1-0 win over Moldova at Hampden on Saturday, on a night where my recommended Bet Builder banked.
The Scots were far from convincing but the result allowed them to leapfrog Austria and move into third-place in World Cup qualifying Group F ahead of Tuesday night's tussle in Vienna.
Franco Foda's team were thumped 5-2 in Israel on the same night but the hosts have an impressive pedigree on the international stage, progressing to the last-16 of Euro 2020, where they took eventual tournament winners Italy to extra time.
Unsurprisingly, Austria are odds-on favourites here at 6/7 (SBK) but my eyes are being drawn to the 4/5 with SkyBet on Scotland to see 20+ booking points.
The Austrians will have earmarked this fixture with the Scots as one where three points are crucial if they are to secure a top-two berth whilst Scotland simply have to avoid defeat if they are to keep their play-off hopes alive.
As such, a high-stakes affair is in the offing and I fancy the Scots to pick up at least a couple of cautions during this crunch qualifier.
Steve Clarke's sides' are famed for pragmatism and I suspect Scotland may deploy the dark arts here in an attempt to tame an Austria team who have scored twice in four of their five group games so far.
Scotland clocked up four cards during the reverse fixture and given that the race for second-place looks set to be a close-fought scramble, I'll happily back the visitors to receive 20+ booking points in Vienna.
What's more, we also have a strict referee in Bulgarian whistler Georgi Kabakov who was averaging 4.5 cards per-game across all competitions last season.
