MORTON are the form team of the Championship and face a Partick Thistle side in freefall, so the 11/8 on offer looks very tempting indeed.

Thistle were flying at the early stage of the season, but the loss of several injured key players has contributed to a nosedive in confidence too.

That culminated in a disastrous defeat to Dundee last week at Firhill where they threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2. Defender Aaron Muirhead won't be available now too after being sent off.

he Jags have now lost four league games and a League Cup defeat at Aberdeen in a row where they have conceded a staggering 18 goals.

They face a Morton side who they handed out a Maryhill mauling to just at the start of last month with a 5-1 win, but both clubs' fortunes have gone in very different directions since then.

Morton are unbeaten since then and have won four out of their last six games and drawn the other two including a draw at then-leaders Ayr United last week.

They've won their last three home games at Cappielow and Dougie Imrie won the Manager of the Month award. And as long as the famous curse doesn't hinder him, his club look like a cracking bet.

It might not seem the most sensible strategy backing a team who lost 4-0 in midweek, but KILMARNOCK are a huge price to beat a Hibs side in all kinds of trouble at 23/10.

Hibs suffered another dismal defeat in midweek when Ross County – who had been propping up the league – went to Leith and beat them 2-0.

Previously, they were beaten 4-1 at Aberdeen and although the Dons were flattered by that win, Hibs' defence is a real problem at the moment.

The loss of their talisman Martin Boyle is a disaster too and Killie are far better on their plastic Rugby Park surface than on their travels, despite how dismal they were at Tannadice in midweek.

They've beaten Dundee United, Ross County and St Johnstone at home and that's the level Hibs are at just now, so the 23/10 looks a cracking shout.

ELGIN CITY are another team who look overpriced at 11/5 when they welcome League Two leaders Dumbarton to Borough Briggs.

Manager Gavin Price just signed a contract extension at the Moray club and he; doing a fine job after six wins from their last eight games.

They won at Bonnyrigg Rose last week and face a Sons side who were thumped 6-0 at Stirling a few weeks ago. They have recovered now, but the hosts are too big here at a ground where Elgin are strong.
