ALLOA have been flying the radar somewhat in a League One full of bigger teams like Falkirk and Dunfermline, but Brian Rice has done a fine job and they are a big price to win away at FC Edinburgh.

The Wasps sit in fourth place at the moment and are well-placed to make a challenge at the big two who sit ahead of them.

They have been in fine form recently culminating in a 5-1 thumping of Queen of the South at the Indodrill last week and the Dumfries side had been improving too.

The only teams who have defeated them since August have been Falkirk and Dunfermline and Alloa are unbeaten in four.

With Conor Sammon and Stefan Scougall in the team, they can call on plenty of experience and they are heading in the right direction.

FC Edinburgh were the league's surprise packages and led the way not so long ago, but they have lost their last two games without scoring a goal and are starting to find their level, which is to escape relegation.

And the 17/10 for Alloa to win at Meadowbank looks an eye-catching price.

QUEEN'S PARK are another team who look overpriced at 11/5 to win in Kirkcaldy against Raith Rovers.

The Spiders are the most fascinating team in the Championship after the injection of cash from Lord Willie Haughey and the move into professionalism which has suddenly made Scotland's oldest club real contenders to return to the top flight for the first time since 1957/58.

They can be a hard team to pin down and they often dominate without putting away all their chances, as they did last week against Inverness and still won 2-1.

The return of Charlie Fox makes a massive difference to them and they can win at Stark's Park against a Rovers team they have already beaten this season.

STENHOUSEMUIR have gone off the rails recently, but they can get back on track against one of the most off-form teams in the country when they welcome Bonnyrigg Rose to Ochilview.

League new boys Bonnyrigg started reasonably well and remember they were actually favourites to win League Two, but the wheels have come well and truly off recently.

They have lost eight out of their last ten games including a disastrous Scottish Cup loss at Sauchie Juniors.

Stenny haven't been going great guns themselves, but they look far too strong for Rose at evens, who they put four goals past at New Dundas Park earlier in the season.
