I’VE had a bit of success on the both teams to score market in recent weeks and there are some standout games on the coupon today.

One that catches the eye is West Ham v Blackpool. There have been goals galore in games involving the Tangerines – 45 in 12 league outings – while Hammers fans haven’t been short of action either.

Eighteen goals have been notched in six encounters at Upton Park so both teams to score at a best 8-11 with Stan James looks a no-brainer.

Fans of this type of bet will have noticed price tweaks, especially on William Hill’s coupon, and this is mainly down to the large of number of games with both on the scoresheet.

Last Saturday, for example, Stoke were the only top teir side not to score and on Tuesday 22 out of 24 teams featured on Ladbrokes’ coupon netted.

In Ladbrokes shops you don’t have the option to take no for both teams to score but their odds are fixed, for example five right pays 18-1, six 30-1 and a magnificent seven 60-1.

There is some skill involved with this market but not a great deal. If you exclude sides such as Hearts away, Chelsea at home, Huddersfield at home and Port Vale at home you can almost pick games at random and not be far from a win.

I’m not in that business though and after West Ham I’m looking at Wigan v West Brom (5-6, Stan James), Leicester v Derby (4-5, Stan James), Nottm Forest v QPR (4-5, bet365) and Chesterfield v Burton (4-6, Stan James). Try all five or perm four from five.

Other possible English Premier League tips, Man Utd may have to settle for another draw at Aston Villa but Man City should beat Birmingham at home.

Leaders Chelsea are a best 2-9 with Paddy Power to beat Sunderland at Stamford Bridge with the Makems 10-11 with Paddy Power to be the first away side to score against the Blues.

Arsenal face a tough clash at Goodison against an Everton side unbeaten in 10 and Liverpool could be held at Stoke.

In the Championship, Portsmouth are outstanding value at 23-20 with Chandler to beat Doncaster at home and I fancy Cardiff (21-10, Hills) at a Scunthorpe side who have lost their last three at home to Middlesbrough, Leeds and Doncaster.
