You can’t read too much in to the outcome of the Community shield but last week’s penalty shoot-out win won’t have done Arsenal’s confidence any harm.

Further down the divisions Dundee Utd (home to Dunfermline), Queen’s Park (home to Arbroath) and Falkirk (away to Cove) all look solid picks to make it two wins from two, which pays a 43/10 Treble.
Last week we highlighted the terrific form of Stirling Albion who started their League One campaign with a win over Edinburgh City. They face a tough test at Alloa today but are on the long shot shortlist for today.
As are Stenhousemuir. They drew blank at home to Forfar last week and look overpriced to win at Peterhead who pulled off one of the surprises of the week last weekend. We’re banking on that being a bit of a freak result and happy to add Stenny to complete the long shot treble.

As I said yesterday I have ONE account on here and have only been posting tennis picks so far. Win or lose I still post and I always try to give my reasoning behind my plays.
I also post the same plays on another forum and on social media where I discuss tennis matches throughout the day.

Been on here for way over a decade now and have to agree with you Chris, I couldn’t give a toss really about all the ‘nonsense’ generated by this very sad character. I follow with interest tips and posts by those that I know are genuine. The rest of the drivel, I try to ignore.
The various ‘incarnations’ of this very sad person with a recognised psychological condition are relatively easy to spot (not that they really care), but as their ‘activity’ comes in fits and starts, there’s just one observation I’d make. “The enemy of my enemy…is not always your friend”. Just because someone on here criticises ‘a suspected incarnation of the saddo’ doesn’t necessarily mean they are not an incarnation themselves…

Fancy a simple double today. Gillingham have spent a fair whack for their division and actually outbid Wrexham recently for one of their targets. They finished last season strong and have picked up where they left off. Thompson has been playing some good tennis over the last couple of months. He lost in the final of Hertogenbosch & was unlucky to meet Djokovic so early on at Wimbledon. He had a good couple of wins in Washington over Mannarino & Eubanks. However, he would have been disappointed with his performance against Fritz in the 1/4 finals. Muller has lost all 3 matches since Wimbledon all in straight sets on clay & has not had any hard court matches since March. He did take a set off Murray at the start of the year in Doha but that is about the best he has performed on the surface for over 2 years. Thompson has been in good form & should win this one in straight sets.

Samsonova to beat Rybakina 1.91, Bet365
Not one for usually going against Rybakina due to her serve & powerful game but I think this is the right time. She has played an awful lot of tennis this week including her marathon 3 1/2 hour match last night which finished at 3am. She looked exhausted & in her previous match against Stephens took a MTO for a right shoulder issue. She served 7 double faults yesterday & a lot of forehand errors which would suggest the shoulder is not quite right. She also committed 80 unforced errors. To add to this Samsonova leads the head to head 2-0 including a 6-2 6-4 win in Tokoyo last year. In that match Rybakina failed to break & won only 38% 2nd serves. If her shoulder issue is still bothering her the 2nd serve is likely to be punished again. Even a fresh & fully fit Rybakina & this match should be close given the similar aggressive play styles. With the fatigue factor along with the shoulder issue & at these odds I feel Samsonova is worth a play here.
May have further plays for the Toronto semi finals tonight.
