IT'S FA Cup quarter final weekend and for armchair fans that means a feast of football this weekend.
Tonight's offering comes from Middlesbrough where the Championship side will look to claim another scalp at home to Chelsea. Boro have already shocked Manchester United and Spurs but the Blues are a step up in class and have a strong recent record in the competition, reaching the final in four of the last five editions, winning it twice.
The World Club Champions continue to battle on three fronts, in the Champions League they'll need navigate a route past Real Madrid in to the semi-finals while the chase for the Premier League looks a forlorn hope, therefore the FA Cup may be their best chance to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet.
Uncertainty continues to surround the future of the future of the club but it doesn't seem to affected performances on the pitch and they should be string enough to book a place in the semi-finals at 1/2.
That said, Boro boast a strong record at The Riverside this season where they've won their last eight league games in a row. Those earlier wins against Man Utd and Spurs were fully merited but as long as long as Chelsea turn up with the right attitude the gulf in class will tell.
An away win (1/2) combined with two or more Chelsea gives us a more respectable 4/5 on a Bet365 BetBuilder.
Villa Park is the venue for Saturday's only Premier League match where Arsenal are the visitors. The Gunners gave a good account of themselves against Liverpool on Wednesday but predictably fell short against one of the league's top sides.
Aston Villa have a similar issue with teams at the top of the table. They've played 11 matches against teams in the top eight and taken just four points, all against Manchester United, that makes the 11/8 on an Arsenal win attractive.
The last three meetings in Paisley between St Mirren and Dundee United have ended 0-0 and a repeat pays 6/1 when you back no goalscorer. There's not a great history of goals between Hearts and Livi either, four of the last nine have finished goalless and BTTS has landed just once in the last 10 meetings. Under 2.5 Goals pays 4/5.
In the Championship Kilmarnock are starting to motor and should maintain their lead at the top with another win over Queen of the South. They've been backed in to 13/20 which is probably too short to back on it's own but 23/20 on them winning and scoring two or more is much more attractive.
The wheels look like they could come off Arbroath‘s season. It's now just one win in seven and the suffered their biggest defeat of the season 3-0 at ICT last week. Visitors Ayr have won their last three on the road and are the only side that Arbroath haven't beaten yet this season. 10/3 on the Honest Men could be worth a small interest.
In League Two Annan have been the in-form team. They've won five out of six with their only defeat coming against runaway leaders Kelty Hearts. They're 7/5 to win at Stirling Albion.

4 games from the A league in the morning, focus for me is on just the one tho- the Melbourne derby. Coming into this one neither side are particularly firing and both are leaky- both sides have managed 1 clean sheet apiece in their last 15! Similarly in those 15 games both teams have seen btts in 12 of those, so it’s no surprise my first thought for this one is goals. Btts/o2.5 is generally available around evens, as I’m just sticking to the one bet for this I’m going to try and squeeze a bit extra out using cards and corners. Regulars will know city corners at home have been a goldmine for us, so I’m adding them and keeping the line fairly low, as well as a card apiece for a nice odds against betbuilder.

I swapped the NAP and NB around about 6 times before finally deciding on these. I understand people are wary of Celtic today seeing as Ross have limited them to 7 corners in 2 previous games this season but Ross are conceding a lot of corners right now and it’s the business end of the season and Celtic need to push on.
Celtic average 10.3 corners at home and Ross are conceding 7.3 on their travels. With Abada and Jota set to return, I think Celtic 7+ or 8+ corners is more than achievable and needs to be bet on every game. Celtic have hit 8+ corners in 13/15 home games. Celtic aren’t playing as fluently as they have been in the league, yet they’re still hitting 8+, even away from home.
I was surprised to see Celtic -2.5 first half corner handicap priced at just under evens, especially as Celtic have covered that handicap in EVERY home game this season. It’s a bet I’ve had success with and one I’ll be looking out for each week.

With a 100% win ratio so far for both legs of the bet; it’s obvious why the bet really stands out for me.
I’ll also be on my usual early Celtic corners (2+ and 3+ in first 10 mins) and the Isthmian double of Enfield and Worthings games going over 2.5 double.

Sean – I’ve just checked stats again and I can see the Livingston game early in the season didn’t cover the -2.5 first half corner handicap. Rest assured that was an honest error (I’m trying to do this research while watching my sons football tournament); I’m not the sort of guy who puts false stats – what would be the point?! It certainly won’t help the bet land. 😂

For anyone following kris tip Celtic have covered the -2.5 fh corner handicap in every home game this season- except the 4 that they haven’t.
Right then, let’s clear a few things up.
I’m home now so able to properly check my research without any distractions. Celtic have covered the -2.5 first half corner handicap in 14/16 home games (counting todays game).
So I’ll hold my hands up and say I got it wrong initially – but I can assure everyone on here it was an honest mistake. And I would still have tipped the same bet – which flew in I may add.
However, Sean is miles out when he says Celtic haven’t covered the -2.5 handicap in 4 home league games. I was going to let that go but I’ll not have my good name sullied by some lad seemingly with some sort of an agenda.

The NB was Celtic -2.5 first half corner handicap which was 10/11 with LiveScore bet.
I hope that clears up any confusion. Sometimes it’s hard to explain clearly in text form. Maybe an option to post bet screen shots might help? Not sure if that’s something the site can as admin?

While all the hype about Celtic corners (which is totally justified) another team is slipping no under the radar for corners and that team is Sheff Weds
They are consistency kings particularly away from home. Their last 10 away games they’ve averaged 7.6 team corners and 13.2 match corners
Today they go to Gillngham who average the 5.8 team corners and 8.8 match corners.
There’s definitely money to be made on corners in this game it’s just approaching it at the right angle.

A good day for me with a winner bet build in the Celtic game which snuffs out my losses with Newcastle. I have done a 4 match bet builder B365. The 1st part is a winner with Chelsea win / score 2 goals and over 4 team corners at 11/8. You can add teams to win or btts etc to make it more than 4fold Chelsea but max acca is 4 betbuilders. Skybet still don’t even do trebles only doubles. Even then you can’t pick them yourself
