Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions
Strasbourg vs. Monaco (4:15pm)
Monaco look like early and rather surprising favourites for the title. Although it is far too early to even speak about that, they beat PSG in the last round, and did so in Paris.
Strasbourg started with a dreadful defeat against Marseille, but are now coming off the back of two phenomenal wins and look extremely dangerous in attack.
The matches between the two sides last season produced 9, 4 and 5 goals. I can’t see this match ending in a low-scoring affair, whoever wins it.
Strasbourg vs. Monaco top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
Auxerre vs. Nice (7:45pm)
The two teams, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, are looking for their first win of the new campaign, which looks set to be another gruelling one.
Unlike Auxerre, Nice at least look somewhat solid at the back, with their main weakness lying in attack. The home side, on the other hand, seem to have virtually no defence at all, having conceded 11 goals in their first three matches.
This is a very difficult match to predict, but I’d rather expect goals than hope there won’t be any.

Le Havre vs. Angers (7:45pm)
Yet another clash between teams who could well finish the season near the bottom of the table.
Angers, in particular, are the team that has lost the most Ligue 1 matches so far in 2026, but they did win their last away game, which might mean something.
Le Havre haven’t impressed me at all in attack so far, with their main strengths coming from the few goals they’ve conceded. I’d recommend giving this match a miss if you’re looking for a safe bet, because I’m going to take a risk on a narrow win for the visitors.
Le Havre vs. Angers top betting tip: Angers to win
Lorient vs. Toulouse (7:45pm)
This is yet another match that is extremely difficult to predict, because Lorient are in dreadful form at home, whilst Toulouse are in much the same state overall.
However, Lorient pulled off a shock victory over cup holders Lens, and if they beat Toulouse, they’ll reach a historic 200th win in the top flight.
Nevertheless, it seems to me that this is a match we can expect to end with few goals, given the attacking problems on both sides, and I’ll take a rare risk on under 2.5 goals.
Lorient vs. Toulouse top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals
Paris FC vs. Lyon (7:45pm)
Paris FC are the other big surprise of the start of the season, remaining unbeaten after three matches, having most recently beaten Marseille in a mad match away from home.
Lyon are hot on their heels in the table, but they certainly still look just as unpredictable. On a good day, they can beat anyone, but when things aren’t going their way, they really aren’t.
I’m expecting a tight contest with goals at both ends. We saw the same in both meetings last season, which ended 1–1 and 3–3.
