WERDER Bremen have boosted their chances of beating the Bundesliga drop and they will be targeting what would be another priceless three points when they face Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday evening.
Florian Kohfeldt's side squeezed out a 1-0 win away at Schalke on Saturday and in doing so Bremen are now only two points off Fortuna Dusseldorf who occupy the relegation playoff spot.
Werder Bremen, after being on the wrong end of a 4-1 thumping from Bayer Leverkusen when the Bundesliga came out of cold storage, looked to be in danger of dropping out of the German top-tier after a near four decade stay in the Bundesliga.
However, victories against both Freiburg and Schalke either side of a 0-0 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach have breathed life into the River Islanders fight against relegation.

Indeed, Bremen have tightened up at the back by recording three clean sheets on the spin, however, Frankfurt have impressed in forward areas in recent weeks and Hutter's team could have the tools to trouble Bremen's backline.
