An exciting contest is expected as Sweden host Serbia in a Group B4 fixture in the UEFA Nations League.
Sweden were left disappointed after their last fixture in the UEFA Nations League finished in a 2-1 home defeat to Scandinavian neighbours Norway. They fell two goals down before Anthony Elanga grabbed a consolation deep into added time.
Having begun their campaign with a 2-0 victory in Slovenia, the Swedes are currently third in the group. Manager Janne Andersson will be keen for his team to make a swift return to winning ways and avoid falling further behind group leaders Norway.
Although the defeat to Norway was at home, Sweden still boast a solid record in front of their fans. They had won the previous five matches at the Friends Arena prior to the Scandinavian Derby with a 2-1 victory over former European champions Spain among their results in that run.
Serbia will travel to Sweden brimming with confidence after claiming a 4-1 victory over Slovenia in their previous UNL fixture. They were level at the break after Aleksandar Mitrovic’s early effort was cancelled out by the visitors, but second half goals from Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, Luca Jovic and Nemanja Radonjic earned them the comfortable win.
The Serbians are level on points with Sweden in Group B4 but a superior goal difference means they are currently second. The have won eight of their last 11 matches across all competitions, a run that includes one-sided results like the 4-1 victory over Luxembourg and the 4-0 triumph over Qatar.
Results on their travels have been just as solid for Serbia, who have lost just once in their last six away matches. Dragan Stojkovic’s men have won four times in that run, including a 2-1 victory over former UNL champions Portugal.

Sweden have the edge among the bookies and are priced at 17/10 by BoyleSports to claim the win on Thursday. A victory for Serbia is valued at 39/19 by SBK, who are also offering odds of 11/5 for a draw.

There have been only two previous matches between Sweden and Serbia with both teams claiming one win each. The last meeting was a friendly in 2012 which ended 2-1 in favour of the Swedes.
Players to watch
Alexander Isak is yet to find the net in the UNL and will be desperate to get off the mark. The striker is expected to once again lead the line for Sweden and is priced at 2/1 by bet365 to get on the score sheet on Thursday.
