LIVERPOOL'S resurgence continues to gather pace and Jurgen Klopp's men will fancy their chances of racking up another Premier League victory as they visit a Luton Town side who continue to languish in the drop zone.
Many people expected this to be a season of transition for the Anfield giants after a summer revamp following the disappointment of missing out on a top-four finish last term.
But Klopp's new-look midfield has given the Reds added energy and their only loss all season has been a hugely controversial 2-1 defeat at Tottenham, in a match where Liverpool had two players sent off.
They headed into the weekend just three points off the top and with even more momentum after seeing off Bournemouth on Wednesday night. That saw the Reds reach the quarter-finals of the League Cup as two bets landed for our man Gabriel.
A blockbuster clash with Manchester City looms at the Etihad later this month and Liverpool will be determined to keep racking up wins ahead of a game that will tell us if they are genuine title contenders again.
Luton Town were written off as relegation fodder before a ball was kicked after their play-off success capped a remarkable rise from non-league football to the top flight inside a decade.
But they've actually been the most successful of the three sides to go up from the Championship and sit just a point away from safety thanks to a win at Goodison Park and draws with Wolves and Nottingham Forest.
It looks like Rod Edwards' men will ruffle a few more feathers before the campaign finishes and if they can claim a shock win over Liverpool it will send a huge surge of confidence through the Hatters squad.
How the bookies view it
Luton Town have been written off and they are as big as 12/1 at SkyBet to stun Liverpool. Klopp's side are just 1/4 with Bet365 and the draw pays 6/1 at Paddy Power.
Head to head
These teams have met just three times in cup ties since Luton Town were last in the top flight way back in 1992. Liverpool won 5-3 at Kenilworth Road in the 2006 FA Cup but needed a replay two years later as they won 5-0 at Anfield following a 1-1 draw in Luton.
Players to watch
Carlton Morris doesn't look out of place in the top flight and the striker has bagged three Premier League goals already. He's 100/30 at SkyBet to grab another strike in this game.
Darwin Nunez scored Liverpool's winner of the bench in midweek and should start here. The Uruguayan is 21/20 at Bet365 to take his tally for the season into double figures.
Anything else catch the eye?
Liverpool have kept just three domestic clean sheets all season and Luton's direct style could cause them a few problems. That's why BTTS is just 17/20 at Unibet and even over 3.5 goals only pays evens with Paddy Power. Over 1.5 first-half goals is a little better at 11/10 with the same firm.
Betting on offsides is always a good option with Liverpool as they play with such a high defensive line. Unibet usually have prices for that market but I can't see any yet. Try backing over 2.5 Luton offsides when those odds finally land.
The same firm do have other stats bets available and I like the 5/4 on Luton having over 2.5 shots on target. Trent Alexander Arnold also looks good at 33/20 to have an effort on target for the Reds.
