Leicester City vs Hull City

, KO: 15:00 Sep 2, 2023, King Power's Stadium
Hull City

Leicester City will be aiming to maintain their 100% record as they host Hull City in a Championship fixture on Sunday. While Hull have made a decent start, the clash against the early pacesetters is not expected to go their way.

Leicester have made a blistering start to the season and are the only team in the Championship with a 100% record. They have won all six of their matches across all competition this season, including a 2-0 victory at Tranmere Rovers in a midweek Carabao Cup clash.

The Foxes appear to have too much quality for their rivals in the Championship as they have retained much of their key players from their time in the topflight. However, the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are linked with moves away and may not be available for Saturday’s clash.

Regardless of who is available on Saturday, Leicester City will be confident of coming out on top. Enzo Maresca’s men have won their two Championship matches, claiming 2-1 victories over Coventry City and Cardiff City.

Hull City appear to have recovered from their early setback and have been slowly finding their rhythm in recent weeks. Having begun with back-to-back defeats to Norwich City and Doncaster Rovers in the league and Carabao Cup respectively, they are now unbeaten in their last three matches.

The Tigers had a two match winning run ended last week as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Bristol City. They took an early lead through Ozan Tufan but were pegged back midway through the second half.

A major problem for Hull City is that they have struggled to keep things tight at the back. Liam Rosenior’s men have won just once in their last 12 Championship away matches, although the claimed a 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers in their previous fixture on the road.
