THE Europa League resumes this midweek and there is a winner-takes-all round of 16 tie between Inter and Getafe which will take place at the Veltins-Arena in Germany.
The revamped format of the competition has set up a one-legged affair here where the winner will progress to the last-eight to lock horns with either Bayern Leverkusen or Rangers.
Inter are second-favourites with most bookmakers to lift the trophy with the men from Milan trading at 6/1 with 888Sport while Getafe are 16/1 with the same firm to go the distance and seal Europa League glory.
Anotnio Conte's star-studded side come into this clash off the back of a strong end to their Serie A season where they secured a second-place finish on Sunday with a well-deserved 2-0 win away at Atalanta.
Conte has made it very clear that his side are in the Europa League to win it however, the Italian's future has been thrown into doubt following some scathing comments that were directed towards the San Siro hierarchy.
Getafe, meanwhile, were competing for a Champions League berth before the season came to a halt, however, a wretched run of just one win from their final 11 La Liga matches saw Jose Bordalas's side end the season in eighth place.
Outright Betting
Inter are big favourites at 3/4 with Betway while an all-square affair – an outcome that would set up extra-time and potential penalty-kicks – pays 29/10 with UniBet.
This fixture represents Getafe's first-ever meeting with an Italian side and the men from Madrid are massive underdogs at 4/1 with William Hill.

Getafe's rise in recent seasons can be attributed to their aggressive and attritional style of play and I fully expect Bordalas's bone-crunching side to revert to the dark arts when trying to tame Inter's top-heavy attack.
The Azulones racked up an eye-watering 140 cards across 38 La Liga last season – an average card count of 3.6 per-game – and that is reflected in the Spanish outfit being as short as 8/13 with Sky Bet to collect 30+ booking points in this bout.
Indeed, the above-mentioned price looks a little skinny, however, better value could lie with the 19/20 on offer with William Hill for Getafe to receive the most booking points on Wednesday night.
Taking this approach would have paid out in a large proportion of Getafe games last season including three of their final four La Liga outings last month.
What's more, referee Anthony Taylor has been assigned this last-16 showdown and that adds to the appeal of siding with the aforementioned betting angle given that the English top-flight official averaged 3.9 cards per-game last term.

With that in mind coupled with the fact that goal-shy Getafe notched a mere 48 strikes in La Liga last term, a low-scoring affair could be in store in Gelsenkirchen this midweek.
However, I do expect what is a superior Inter side to prevail in what could be a more closely-fought contest than the betting suggests and the above-mentioned Bet Builder looks like a nice way of getting the Italian giants onside.
