BURNLEY will look to give their Premier League survival hopes a boost by earning a win over Everton at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.
The Clarets' poor start to the season is among the worst-ever in the top-flight but there have been signs of improvement in recent weeks.
Vincent Kompany's side shredded Sheffield United 5-0 at home a fortnight ago and they have since bagged a point away at Brighton.
Despite their upturn in form of sorts, Burnley remain second bottom of the table and four points behind 17th placed Everton.
The Toffees have hit a rich vein of form of late, having triumphed in each of their last three league games, the most recent of which was a 2-0 win over Chelsea.
As such, Sean Dyche's side have hauled themselves out of the relegation zone following their 10-point deduction, and they will look to continue their climb up the standings by landing top honours in Lancashire.
Outright Betting
Burnley are big outsiders at 13/5 (Bet 365) to make it back-to-back home wins while the draw can be backed at 5/2 with William Hill.
Everton have triumphed in each of their last three top-flight road trips and another Toffees success is trading at 11/10 (BetVictor).
Betting Angles
Everton will have their backers at the above-mentioned price but I’m going to instead opt for a Bet Builder and bundle up Everton To Score, Everton Double Chance and Josh Brownhill to Commit a Foul at 4/5 (Bet 365).
As already alluded to, the Blues have been upwardly-mobile in recent weeks and they will have earmarked this fixture as an excellent opportunity to bank another three points.
Sean Dyche’s side have only failed to score in one of their last eight Premier League matches, netting in each of their last three road games en-route to victory.
As such, I’ll back the Toffees to take something from this tussle, but to bolster the odds, I’ll also back them to make the net bulge against a Burnley side who have kept just one clean sheet in 16 top-flight outings this term.
To round off the 4/5 (Bet 365) Bet Builder, I’ll also back Burnley’s Josh Brownhill to commit a minimum of one foul in what is a real relegation six-pointer.
The Clarets midfielder's combative style has seen him average one foul per 90 in the Premier League this season, getting on the wrong side of the referee at least once in six of his seven appearances.
Elsewhere, I’ll also have a small play on Abdoulaye Doucouré to grab a goal on Saturday evening at an eye-catching 3/1 with PaddyPower.
Having notched in his last two appearances. the Mali international is now Everton’s leading marksman this season, and he looks a lovely price to continue his hot-streak in front of goal when faced with what is a fragile Burnley backline.
