LIVERPOOL have launched their bid to defend their Premier League crown in style and they will be targeting a fourth successive victory when they face Aston Villa at Villa park on Sunday night.

Standing in the Merseysiders' way this weekend is an Aston Villa side who appear to be heading in the right direction after pulling off the great escape last season.
The Villans have won both of their opening assignments of the season having squeezed out a 1-0 win at home to Sheffield United before ruthlessly cutting apart Fulham at Craven Cottage last time out.

I'm also prepared to add at least one Aston Villa card to the aforementioned bet on a night where Dean Smith's men may have to revert to the dark arts when trying to tame their top-heavy opponents.
That line of thought could also see value lie with the 5/4 on offer with Bet 365 for Aston Villa to collect over one card in this contest.
The Villans have racked up six cards across their opening two outings of the season – three bookings in both bouts – and given that this fixture provides a major upgrade in terms of opposition, I was pleasantly surprised to see two or more Villa cards trading at odds-against of 5/4 with Bet 365.
A good candidate to consider for a card is Aston Villa left-back Matt Targett who is priced up at 13/2 with Bet 365 to be cautioned in this contest.
Targett has had his name taken in both of Villas' league matches this term and given that he could be tasked with trying to shackle Mohamed Salah, another caution for the defender looks overpriced on Sunday night.
