ANDY MURRAY only needs to win a set today against Stan Wawrinka to guarantee himself a place in the semis of the ATP Tour Finals.
The world No.1 leads 9-7 in the head-to-head but Stan the Man has won three of the last four meetings, including a straight-sets romp at the same event 12 months ago.
Murray is favourite for this one at 3-10 with Stan James while Wawrinka is 31-10 at Marathonbet for victory and 11-10 at Ladbrokes to win a set – which he has achieved in nine of the last 10 meetings.
In the other match Kei Nishikori has impressed so far and looks decent value at 4-6 with Ladbrokes to beat Marin Cilic (19-13, Marathonbet).

Tonight I’m taking what I think is a low total between New Orleans and Portland. Anthony Davis is questionable for the Pelicans after missing their game against Orlando so that is obviously a big player in doubt, but the Pelicans despite their poor record have the best bench in the NBA with a league high of 40.8 points per game. Both teams are running quick tempo offense in the top 10, with Portland giving up 114 points per game over their last three and 112 on the season which is second worst behind the Suns.

A few tough games to call in the Rugby tomorrow but going to give it a crack. Main bet will be a double of Ireland +22.5 and Fiji +44.5 at just above evens (Bet365). Although the Kiwi backlash does worry me I’m willing to risk it and reckon both should be able to cover their spreads.
I’ll also be on a Scotland +4.5 and Italy +24.5 at 5/6. SA should beat the Italians but I reckon they’ll give the Boks a fight and Scotland/Arg game could go either way. Having a small punt on this treble too: France ML, New Zealand over 29.5 points, and South Africa over 22.5 points at just under 2/1.

Thought that total was strange even with Davis questionable who has now said he will play. Bumped up to 214.5 which I still think could be an over play but obviously much more risk from what I’ve previously posted.
