WORLD No.4 Andy Murray will bid to complete a stunning fightback today at the French Open when he resumes his last-16 clash with the ever-improving Viktor Troicki.

Pre-match I would have taken British No.1 Murray to see off the world No.15 from Serbia comfortably, maybe giving up a set on the way to the quarters at Roland Garros.

But the ankle injury sustained against Michael Berrer had everyone fearing the worst for Muzza – would he face Troicki? Would he quit? What about Wimbledon? Will he ever win a Slam?

However, when he declared himself fit for duty in Paris he put British tennis fans' fears to rest, at least until the match got underway!

Two sets to nil down I feared, I'm sure along with everyone else watching the action, that Murray was indeed heading home earlier than expected.

Not so. Back came the rampaging Scot to set up today's one-set shoot-out for a quarter-final with Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela on Wednesday.

Having done the hard bit it's hard to see past Murray now and he's the 4-11 favourite with bet365, sportingbet and Paddy Power.

Troicki will still fancy his chances, however, and having lost the previous two sets would likely have been a relieved man when bad light brought him an extra night's sleep. The Serb is now 11-4 with William Hill.
