WE don't know the destination of the World Cup but already it's the start of the domestic season in Scotland.
Celtic, Rangers and Hibs have been in European action and tonight Kilmarnock entertain St Mirren in the first Betfred Cup fixture.
Last night I posted two winners thanks to Florian Kamberi to score first for Hibs and a double of Hibs -1 and Rangers to win to nil.
Will have a closer look at the Killie game after I write up Saturday's Daily Record column and while a home win looks on at a best 17-20 with Betfred boss Steve Clarke admits it's a tie that has come too early. Saints have Alan Stubbs in charge for the first time after boss Jack Ross left for Sunderland and star man Lewis Morgan has completed a permanent move to Celtic.
Well done to everyone who put up winners last night including HullShaker – and it was another good day for Alan and Johnb with their racing tips – and good luck to everyone today.

Nadal to beat Djokovic @ 20/21- 8 units

Nadal to win Wimbledon @ 6/4- 8 units
Keber to win Wimbledon @ 9/4- 4 units
adding: 5 units Nadal to win the 1st set and beat Djokovic @ 9/5 (betfair-but Im sure others do the market)

If your bankroll is 1000 we are talking profit of 430 pounds since the start of Wimbkedon.

Make sure you hit these up because we about to make another 17 units tomorrow.

    • tennisace 6 years ago

No idea where my reply went. We are 43 units in profit.

Top up Nadal to beat Djokovic by 8 units. He will obliterate him on these poverty ‘grass’ courts. So 16 units in total on Nadal @ 10/11

5 on Nadal to win the first set and win @ 9/5

another 4 units on Nadal to win Wimbledon @ 6/4…so 8 units in total.

No its not too much because guess what?
It wins. AND we are 43 units in profit already.

      Follow or regret.

    • tennisace 6 years ago

Tried to post this last night but couldnt.

Adding another 4 units on Nadal to beat Djokovic now @ 10/11

      so 12 units on Nadal
plus another 2 on Nadal to win Wimbledon 6/4. So 6 units on that in total.

      Very confident.

    • tennisace 6 years ago

Well, Djokovic is playing like prime Djokovic. Not seen him play this well since a while before his surgery.

The roof being closed doesn’t help. But as it is, 1 set all, you’d feel Djokovic has the egde. Sorry guys.

Premier league bets for the upcoming season.
Liverpool win the league at 5/1,should be City’s closest rivals this season and i can’t see City repeating what they did last season,Liverpool are second favourite’s to win it whilst City are 4/7 which is poor.
Chelsea not to finish in the top four at 6/5 (NAP)*****
Chelsea to be relegated at 250/1
Chelsea are in absolute turmoil and there is no way Eden Hazard will be a Chelsea player for much longer,i just cannot see how they can compete with the rest of the top teams,Conte has departed and at such a late stage in the pre=season which is bad for any club.no new major signings and talk of Willian joining Barca, there’s only one way this club is going and that’s not up.

    • mr h 6 years ago

No major signings because if the uncertainty over Conte who was the poison within the club. The stories emerging are of a selfish cold coach who had little or no relationship with his coaching staff nevermind the players. I’ll give you 500/1 on Chelsea too be relegated ?

Agreed that England’s most successful club since 2005 are in decline and I don’t see them finishing in the top 4 either. City, United, Liverpool and Spurs too fight out the top 4 with Chelsea and Arsenal battling for 5th & 6th

    • maccathered 6 years ago

The relegated bet is an outside bet hence the odds, bookies are offering 2500/1 on man utd and Liverpool to be relegated and only 250/1 on chelsea,i am an expert on all things premier league mate so you can’t really tell me whats what,Chelsea are in trouble and thats even before a ball has been kicked bad season for them imo.best of luck

    • mr h 6 years ago

You’re arrogance knows no bounds ? you’re a premier league expert so I can’t tell you what’s what ? wind yer neck in Macca

    • sasaharv62 6 years ago

How can you state your an expert on EPL when your so biased towards Liverpool, you cant see straight without yer red tinted specs? Man C to win EPL again hahahahahaha.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

It’s where i make most of my money, been consistent in that league for the last 10 years,so i would say i’m well up on it,yeah if you fancy City at 4/7 then take them no value in them though.

    • sasaharv62 6 years ago

4/7 winner is better than a 5/1 loser Macca.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

It is if it wins, not easy to retain the premier league title, not when there is better teams in the league.

    • mr h 6 years ago

Name a better team than City……

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Liverpool are a better team collectively, obviously the table didn’t suggest this but the results against city did,the key thing this season is consistency,if Liverpool can be consistent then they will walk this league.

    • recoba 6 years ago

Bring it in Macca for goodness sake lad your Champ league goals and EPL picks were good bit expert…suppose you had Leicester and what happened to you Liverpool to finish 2nd?

Ounce Chelsea get there manager they’ll get a few signings and relegation talk is madness mate.

You n JohnB go with Hibs for the league and Chelsea to be relegated. Bingpot! £€¥$

    • maccathered 6 years ago

I never said Chelsea would be relegated, they could do though 250/1 should tell you it’s chances, but compare that with Liverpool and Man Utd at 2500/1 then that tells you bookies aren’t taking any chances, look i don’t care what anyone says Chelsea are in trouble,a couple of weeks before kick off and no new manager,Hazard looks set to join Real Madrid and Willian looks set to join Barcelona, thats two big big players that will go and who are Chelsea going to replace them with in such little time,i think the Chelsea owner has had enough.

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

That price reflects Chelsea’s chance of the title more than anything.
There’s no way Chelsea will be relegated – I’d give you the same 2500-1.
New boss will give them a lift and they’ll spend big again – especially if Hazard goes.

    • mr h 6 years ago

Hibs will fight for second with Rangers and Aberdeen up here and Chelsea won’t finish with 20 points of relegation

    • mr h 6 years ago

      Within

    • maccathered 6 years ago

A new manger who they going to get in,when Chelsea are on the slide they are bad, obviously results will reflect that, who they going to buy to replace Hazard and Willian??When other clubs bigger than Chelsea are looking to buy also, for me Chelsea are in trouble, personally i don’t think they will finish in the top four, they had a very bad season not so long ago and they were certainly at the wrong end of the table and i rackon this coming season we will see a similar scenario.

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Maurizio Sarri will be the new boss.
Players will go almost anywhere if the money’s right for their agent.

    • tennisace 6 years ago

      The bias here is crazy.

While I agree Liverpool are in good shape, I think 4 or 5/1 is a fair price. From everything else you just spouted…well its a load of emotional bias and letting your mind run away with things.

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Every fan is biased about their own team – that’s the way it is.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Bias what bias??Chelsea will have a bad season and i’m been biased,Liverpool to win the league thats not biased that has a chance.

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

You’re totally biased but who cares – you declare you’re a Liverpool fan so fair enough.
Last season much of what you tipped on Liverpool games came up.

Well done on the double and first goalscorer yesterday Mr F ? Also thanks to Hullshaker for yesterdays tips and @tennisace for the Wimbledon tips, nice wee day of profit all round. Keep up the good work folks.
(I should have posted earlier but fancy Westwood to win his 3-ball today at 7-4, but they have just teed off, some bookies might still offer in-play but I can’t see it…I took it last night – Wayne Grady followed him all the way round yesterday and reckons he’s back to his best. Don’t know about that but he had a good week last week and I think he just needs to beat Kuchar today as don’t think Gallacher will threaten)
Good luck all with a bet on ?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

I missed Westwood yesterday and while he’s had another decent round today looks like Gallacher will beat him.
Funnily enough the guy I saw hitting the ball best was someone I’ve never heard of – Justin Walters.
He hit 69 today. The player I saw hitting a few dodgy ones was Duncan Stewart and today he hits 63.
That’s what makes twoball and threeball betting on golf so tough.

    • hairyheid 6 years ago

Ha-ha, typical, the guy you think won’t feature shoots the best of the 3. Stephen Gallacher shoots 66 to Westwoods 67 to Kuchars 69…spot on Mr F, golf 3-balls always difficult ?

  16. micky lfc 6 years ago

I would just like to stick my penny into “the debate”….it’s true Chelsea are a mess and there’s rumours Red Roman wants rid of Chelsea .To sack Conte a few weeks before season starts is a joke.hazard/Willy Willian are deserting the sinking ship. and as for the new manager giving them a lift and spending big is “pie in the sky”.I mean who would seriously want to go to Chelsea?.The big players are all tied up and already settled at there clubs
As for man city I agree with Macca.. there’s no way are walking away with the title so easily this time.Man utd arsenal will improve and Liverpool should be there abouts

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Thankyou micky lfc someone who talks sense.Agree 100% on Chelsea hit nail on the head lad.

  17. micky lfc 6 years ago

Micky Belfast I agree on our keeper in fact we haven’t had one for at least 10 years ?

    • micky belfast 6 years ago

Yea mick i hate to say it mate as a liverpool fan. But somethg needs to be done b4 season kicks of. Can not trust him at all. Whats it gota take b4 they splash big cash on a world class keeper

    • maccathered 6 years ago

There will be a new keeper,Klopp is trying to save face as he brought in Karius,we will get a new keeper thats for sure.

  18. mr h 6 years ago

For a team that finished 25 points behind City and 5 points in front of the club in decline Chelsea they sure as hell blow their own trumpet a helluva lot. Words are easy, full of pi55 & wind. No league title since 1989 says it all really. City will win the league again, Liverpool will spend a 10th consecutive season looking up too City in the league. Better manager and better squad

    • jim d 6 years ago

Just a minor correction point from a passionate Arsenal fan. We actually won the league at Anfield in 1989 so that is slightly incorrect. Liverpool last won the league in 1990. That is all. Up the Gunners!

    • mr h 6 years ago

A year out ? you get the point though

    • maccathered 6 years ago

      Doubt that pal

    • mr h 6 years ago

      What part?

      City winning the league?
      Better squad?
      Better manager?

    • maccathered 6 years ago

City winning the league and better squad, better manager i don’t know he hasn’t got a great record v Jurgen Klopp.Klopp builds players up,Pep buys ready made ones.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Thats what i mean Liverpool are due 1 and Klopp promised the board he would deliver one by the year 2020,hes not far off now, like i said consistency is key.

    • christoff1977 6 years ago

Why are Liverpool due one? By that token Leyton Orient are due an FA Cup win, it’s not going to happen though is it? That said, Liverpool could get closer this year…

    • maccathered 6 years ago

So what your saying in effect then is Liverpool could get closer this year,so they have a chance thats what i tipped. So lets say i supported Wimbledon and i tipped Liverpool to win the league at 5/1 nothing would have been said.

  19. christoff1977 6 years ago

Hear hear! Unfortunately the site does attract a fair share of them. Some folks need to learn to be more humble. Some folks also need to learn not to rise to it. As for tips? Mr F, Greg and anyone who actually justifies their selections with a track record.

    Afternoon gents,

Clean sweep yesterday and hoping I can extend the run a bit further with another Icelandic goals bet…

VÍKINGUR REYKJAVÍK VS. KEFLAVÍK (1930 KO):

Keflavik are dire at the minute; they have hit a real bum-patch and have conceded at least a brace of goals in 10 of their last 12 matches.

Vikingur may not be about to take over the footballing world themselves but they ought to have enough to put Keflavik to the sword here – plenty of goals in their recent gamee and although I fancy them to get at least two, so do the bookies…you’ll get just 1/2 for your troubles.

There’s always value to be had in these games if you look a bit harder and instead of team goals, I fancy this with the added bonus that both teams can chip in and help:
