And it's unlikely to be on a skinny Friday card so I'll be concentrating on Saturday's games.
I fancied home wins for Liverpool, Derby and Swansea last night but decided to go with a both to score double in the Championship and it was Charlton who let me down.
Liverpool beat Sheffield United without much fuss to move 13 points clear at the top with a game in hand. Really is time for maccathered to crack open the bubbly.

There are two La Liga games tonight – Sevilla v Athletic Bilbao and Valladolid v Leganes. Got to fancy Sevilla but the other one is tough to call. Bordeaux tackle Le Mans in the French Cup and should win as long as they field a strong side.

– New England just haven’t been firing this season, they started the season so well but we’ve seen so Much miss communication on the offence. They’ve gone from 11/4 favourites to win the Super Bowl to a massive 12/1, I posted a couple of weeks back that they hve no chance of winning it this year, too many teams have the power to overcome them and this could be end of an era. Brady out of contract at the end of the season and this could possibly be it for him with New England. The titans have surprised me this year and have actually been pretty good, tannehill and co look a new team and I believe they can turn over the pats despite being underdogs, meaning giving them a +5.5 start I’m all over. New England’s defence still cannot be picked at with so many of them regular pro bowlers and still of a very high quality. Co such as Stephon Gilmore, Hightower, van noy, Chung and mccourty know how to go all the way in these games but the offence compared to defence is miles away in terms of quality and Tennessee can exploit it! Derrick Henry and AJ Brown are the main options on the titans offence and New England will have to restrict them massively solely because the pats offence won’t score a lot of points, it’s fighting an uphill battle for New England and even if they scrape through this game they will be beaten next round. Really cannot see the pats winning this by 6+ points.

You may remember me picking out the saints and the seahawks early in the season for my Super Bowl picks, Seattle were a mile away at the time and everyone ruled them out, but a run that can’t be doubted means they are there, they even were only a win in their last game away from a 3 seed, they should have actually won, a 1st and goal from the 1 yard line looked certain for that outcome, yet a silly penalty and none conversion means they are big outsiders again. My main selection was the saints, only the form of Kansas of late and the ravens all year I’d say they should be favourites, they the 49ers are before them in odds but they can’t be ruled out in game matchups against anyone! Throughout this season I’ve posted various bets on these teams for overs and it’s because they are both just free scoring. The vikings also give away 20+ points in majority of games and the saints offence can destroy anyone if they are on form. I’d have selection the saints to cover a spread but when it’s set at -7.5 in a playoff game you can’t back it with any confidence! I’m siding with overs and sitting back for what should be a thoroughly entertaining game with a lot of touchdowns! Let’s enjoy cook, Diggs, thielen and Rudolph from the Vikings and the army of the saints that consist of Brees, Thomas, hill, Kamara and Murray!

I’m going to go against the grain with you on the Patriots pick.
If the Patriots are floating around -4.5 or -5 I strongly recommend picking them up. If we lock down Henry I don’t believe Tannehill can carry the Titans to victory at Foxboro with what seems to be awful weather conditions. There is also a lot more on the line for the Patriots, this song was being sung last year just before we beat down the Chargers and I expect more of the same.
This is the kind of game where we come out and provide a clinical showing, not sure many believe it but this might just be Brady’s last audition with the Patriots. I think deep down Bill knows it as well as Brady.
Interesting fact the Patriots are 14-0 in the playoffs when playing at home if they score 22+ points.

Harleec, 14-0 in the playoffs in past seasons mate. Your receivers just aren’t doing it, lock down Edelman and you’re done. Your offence just isn’t the same as what it was and this season is time for your early exit. Tennessee don’t just have Henry even though he is a terrific player. The last 7 games before entering the playoffs tennessee have scored; 35, 28, 21, 42, 31, 42 and 35. New England have put up; 24, 24, 34, 16, 22, 13 and 17. That flatters you abit as a 24 was against the dolphins who are third worse in the entire NFL, were you also lost, and the 34 against the bengals who are worst in the NFL. You need more than 22 points mate, New England should be favourites because of their history last few years in the playoffs, it should be a 2.5 spread IMO though, and I’d still fancy the titans to take that spread.
We shall see though! BOL in the playoffs though mate, we have the extra week off though to prep for our game. 🤞

Just back in. I think 11-10 is a decent looking price but solely depends on the team. Klopp says he will respect the cup but also respect his players and decide whether they can play again. He says changes will be made but we don’t know how many.
I would love them to win the lot but with the games coming up and the injuries and the fact the players are tired they have to be rested somewhere along the line and this is the perfect time to rest them.Klopp has stated he will be resting players.

Tennis is back! Kind of. I’m not yet sure what to make of the season now kicking off with the newly formed ATP Cup, but it will be interesting to see how it goes down.
The novelty of it all and the fact it comes right at the start of January makes it hard back any individual players with much confidence, and there’s a clear favourite for the overall title in Spain, who Rafa Nadal lead to Davis Cup glory last month.
I will be steering clear of any major match bets until I’ve had a chance to see people in action, but I fancy a wee flutter on Poland to upset the apple cart in Group E and see their overall title odds slashed.
Hubert Hurcakz and Kamil Majchrzak aren’t the biggest names in the group (those would be Austria’s Thiem, Croatia’s Cilic and Coric and Argentina’s Schwartzman) but they are a solid and dangerous 1,2 pairing coming off groundbreaking seasons.
If we look at Croatia, Cilic hasn’t been near his best for a while, and Coric finished last season horribly. For Argentina, Schwartzman is an excellent and solid player, but can be overpowered on a surface like this, and his number 2, Pella, is more comfortable on a clay court and is rated as a nearly even money shout in some quarters for his opener against the dangerous Majchrzak, despite being 75 places better off in the rankings. Thiem is of course the cream of the crop here, and has decent but unspectacular supporting cast of Novak and Offner, both ranked outside the top 100.
Poland also have in their ranks Łukasz Kubot, who was ranked number 1 in doubles just a year ago and now sits 2nd in the rankings. He could make all the difference if ties come down to the deciding doubles rubber.
The two ties singles ties in Argentina v Poland tomorrow are both close to even money in various places, and I’d back them in the doubles with the man Kubot on hand (they are slight favourites with the bookies there) so I’m definitely sold on chancing Poland to come out on top, given the odds on that.
