GOALS galore provided punters with plenty of winners on Monday night's Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Well done to all the winners including Greg with his over 1.5 goals tips in all the games with Republic of Ireland landing it with their late but ultimately futile draw with Denmark.
I tipped 0-0 at half-time and that was my Super Single in the Daily Record but for the site I put up no top tips as most of the games were meaningless.
It's not much different on Tuesday with one automatic place remaining to be filled and it will go to the team that finishes second in Group E – Wales, Hungary or Slovakia.
Wales meet Hungary in Cardiff with the winners qualifying and Slovakia doing so if it's a draw and they beat Azerbaijan.

Remember the previous H2H for the following game well when Kazakhstan beat Scotland by three goals to nil, was never as bad a result as some thought as the country is not the easiest place to visit. The fact that I got just under even money for Kazakhstan DC indicates that the bookies couldn’t call it either way. Stated back then the return fixture will be very different and I stick by that even with absentees, I expect the Scots to win this comfortably and avenge that defeat. Going to keep it simple with the prices surprisingly drifting and great value to be had in my eyes. Kazakhstan are a different kettle of fish on the road, absolute shi*e and I’ve watched a few highlights (if you can call them that ) from there most recent tie with the worst team in the world San Marino and it was dreadful. There’s a couple of games this evening I’ll be keeping an eye on for line ups before kick off. FC United are taking on Glossop North End in the Northern Premier League Challenge Cup. FC manager has already said they’ll be putting out a strong team and that they’re aiming for silverware this season, realistically this cup is the best chance. FC can tear teams apart if they’re in the mood such as the 7-0 a few games back. They’re also conceding a lot these days with new ‘sweeper keeper’ Cameron Belford. I saw them recently and while his distribution is excellent leading to fast turnarounds in play and counter attacks he’s lacking in shot stopping and is very short for a keeper. Everything points to goals in this one for me.
The other match that catches my eye is Yorkshire Amateur vs Halifax town in the West Riding County Cup. On the face of it we have a team from step 9 vs Halifax of the conference (step 5), surprising then to see Halifax available at close to evens. Will have to wait to see the line up but chances are Halifax have a big enough squad to rotate completely and give fringe players a run out. I’d be looking to goals again in this one

I used the word consistency and not bad patch as it wasn’t as though I wasn’t picking any winners, there was still plenty, but I felt the strike rate wasn’t high enough (around 30%) to be contributing to the site. id also lost discipline (was putting on way way more bets than what I was tipping on here) and was using winning bets to fund more bets instead of cashing money into my bank. More bets obviously produce more winners as well but the cycle of around 30% was continuing when I prefer it to be higher. These factors led to a wee crisis of confidence becase it was both mentally and financially draining and that made me take a wee back seat from tipping, as well as some life changing news on the home front which means I have to reign it in from now on. I seem to have found a bit of form over the past 2 weeks or so (SR 61.2 %) so I feel as if I can contribute again.
I always find taking one’s brain off thinking about betting for a while clears one’s judgement.

Sticking with the NLN and backing Boston again for the 4th game in a row, they’re a solid team at home and been consistent scorers particularly at their ground. They face a leaky Blythe Spartans side who have conceded a minimum of 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 away games. Expect more of the same against Boston.
Pairing them with my local team Altrincham, who actually haven’t had the best of starts to their campaign (highlighted by a 5-0 away smashing from Boston). However they’ve put together a decent run of results with the likes of John Johnston and Josh Hancock back on goal-scoring form. Despite this they’re still open to concede a goal with somewhat dubious keeper Tony Thompson between the sticks. I’ve never been convinced when watching him… he’s susceptible to poor decision-making which often results in a goal for the opposition. Visitors Gateshead are more than capable of scoring on their day, backed up with recent form.

Sticking with the NLN and backing Boston again for the 4th game in a row, they’re a solid team at home and been consistent scorers particularly at their ground. They face a leaky Blythe Spartans side who have conceded a minimum of 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 away games. Expect more of the same against Boston.
Pairing them with my local team Altrincham, who actually haven’t had the best of starts to their campaign (highlighted by a 5-0 away smashing from Boston). However they’ve put together a decent run of results with the likes of John Johnston and Josh Hancock back on goal-scoring form. Despite this they’re still open to concede a goal with somewhat dubious keeper Tony Thompson between the sticks. I’ve never been convinced when watching him… he’s susceptible to poor decision-making which often results in a goal for the opposition. Visitors Gateshead are more than capable of scoring on their day, backed up with recent form.
