PUNTERS cashed in on the goals bonanza last night in what was a horror night for the bookies. There was an incredible 38 goals across the 8 qualifiers, with all 8 landing over 1.5 goals at 7-2.

Tonight is the final round of fixtures with 10 games being played as well as U21 qualification and 10 FA Cup replays. I've had a look at the total goals line and it's set at 35+ which is understandable given Holland, Germany and Belgium are all at home and Russia travel to San Marino so every chance we'll see more goals tonight.

I've picked put 2 bets from the qualifiers as I take France U21s to provide goals again as they travel to Switzerland and I have betbuilder from the Scotland game. Over 1.5 goals in all 10 qualifiers won't be far away and is worth taking on at 11-2 (William Hill).

Switzerland U21s v France U21s (6pm)

They left it late but France delivered my NAP on Friday courtesy of a last-minute Odsonne Edouard penalty to bring in the France 3+ goals as they edged out Georgia 3-2.

That goal was Edouard's 6th goal in three qualifying matches and they face another tough test against a Switzerland side who have also started the campaign well.

You can't deny though that French look the real deal, especially offensively  – they've scored 13 goals in their three qualifiers and 20 in their last 5 matches which is impressive.

There are probably valid question marks about their defensive capabilities have conceded 2 quickfire goals against Georgia on Friday night and they also shipped 3 goals in Slovakia so we should expect the Swiss to get on the score sheet here.

I still think France will be too good though and I'd expect Celtic hitman Edouard to find the net again.

Couple of different angles to look at here from a betting perspective – France have scored 2 or  more goals in their last 6 matches and are 4-5 to do so again tonight but I don't see them keeping a clean sheet so happy to take over 2.5 match goals – this has landed in Switzerland's last 6 home games, France's last 8 have seen at least 3 goals scored with 26 goals scored in their last 5 games.

Should be a really entertaining game.

Scotland vs Kazakhstan  (7.45pm)

Some national pride was restored on Saturday for Scotland after a positive 2-1 over in Cyprus that relieved boss Steve Clarke of criticism for the time being anyway.

They welcome a side who destroyed them earlier in the campaign and will be keen to avenge that heavy defeat at Hampden tonight.

Had a look at a few markets but like the Ireland v Denmark game I feel the best opportunity here is on the betbuilder.

Recommended Bet

  • Over 1.5 goals
  • Over 1.5 cards
  • Over 7.5 corners
  • 21-20 (bet365)
