I DON'T if anyone predicted two 0-0s in the Champions League last night and the games were disappointingly dull.
On the comments theplug though did tip a scoreless draw at Anfield at 11-1 and I doff my hat to him.
Somehow my over 2.5 goals treble produced three 0-0s but redemption was found with the Top Treble landing at 4-1.
That was thanks to West Brom not to lose and both to score at Portsmouth v Bristol Rovers and Inverness v Ross County.
Well done to all the winners including Greg who got the day off to a flier with his Dundee United reserves tip which flew in.
Another two Champions League matches on Wednesday and let's hope for goals. I fancy Man City's chances at Schalke and will add a preview while Atletico Madrid v Juventus looks like a tight one and Scott's posted a preview.
Rangers face Kilmarnock in a Scottish Cup replay and I've posted a separate preview while in the Championship it's Derby v Millwall. There is a bit of history between these teams recently and this could be fiery with a last-eight place at stake.I can see a red in the match and that pays 3-1 at William Hill.
Some other games on the Continent including Sevilla v Lazio in the Europa League and I've picked out a treble. Not much time for reasoning but I'm on Bordeaux, one defeat in 11 at home, to see off basement boys Guingamp in Ligue 1. Add Derby to edge out a Millwall side without a win in five – hopefully nathan will agree with this – and complete the treble with both to score at Rangers.
Three of four meetings this season have gone that way and with it being a cup replay everything will be on the line and I expect action at both ends.

West brom on the other hand are fighting hard to get promotion and this is a must win game. Qpr are conceeding bucket loads. They’ve conceded 2 or more in their last 4 league games. West brom on the other hand haven’t conceded in 392 mins of football away from home. They are also scoring plenty. They’ve score in their last 16 matches.

I expect this to be a really tight game. I think it will be a draw 0-0 at half time and then Kilmarnock will score in the second half winning the game 1-0.
Playing at Ibrox, Kilmarnocks best chance of a goal is likely to come from a set piece. 6ft 3 defender Stuart Findlay will fancy his chances against Rangers. He’s scored twice in his last 8 games, both of which being the first Goalscorer. He’s available at 66/1 for First Goalscorer or 25/1 anytime. Best prices elsewhere are around 33/1 and 10/1. Considering I think it will be 1-0 I checked the scorecast price and it was 260/1. Instead of this why not use Betbuilder and stick £1 on him first and last Goalscorer which is effectively the same. In fact it’s even better as it wouldn’t have to end 1-0 to win your bet. The price is 1500/1 which is madness. Betbuilder bet would pay out if he scored the only goal of the game as it would effectively be first and last Goalscorer.

Great odds for a game between a rock bottom team and a team which have improved massively in the new year. NAC really need to get forward to get the points. Groningen are the visitors on Saturday night and they look like a new team after the winter break. Last night I had a small eye on a Derby/Bordeaux double. It’s about 5/1 or was. Not looked into Bordeaux much but there’s some good reason to back Derby.
We’ve missed Mount who’s creativity is hurting us. We played awful at Brighton in the cup, but I thought it was a 3pm kick off, so missed tipping the btts I was due to share. We’ve also dropped 4 pts away to Ipswich and Preston – games which we also played badly. We’re slipping back into this situation where we need wins but get draws.
I think we’re unbeaten in 7 or 8 league games and are quite tough to beat at home. We’ve also only conceded more than once I believe in 10 games.
I can’t see Derby putting down a cricket score but we need to get back to winning ways. A few wins and we’re back in amongst the top 6. A few losses and we’re scrapping with the rest for mid table.
I’m concerned that we’re struggling to beat teams in the bottom 6, the lack of league doubles, and how many points we’re taking off top 6 teams. We also need to figure out how to win these tough away games ugly, with a 1 nil.
I’m taking a wander to the shop, so I’m stuck with what prices Ladcrooks offer.
But I agree with the Derby and Bordeaux wins.

Complete garbage tonight. Bordeaux kicked off earlier than I’d thought but ended 0-0, and Derby were shocking. Our 4th rubbish performance on the bounce, Millwall get 1 chance late on and score. Derby lacking in ideas, motivation and once again come undone by a team hovering above the bottom 3. Not good enough. I’d be amazed if we get anything against Forest on Monday , and I’d be blown away if we finish in the top 6.
We’ve had 4 league games on the bounce, won 1, drawn 2, lost 1. To be fair to Millwall, they deserved at least a point tonight, Derby would of counted themselves lucky to get a point tonight. 1 shot on target all match. We had a chance with these 4 matches to lay down a marker in anticipation of the tough trip away to Forest on Monday, we flunked it.
I know Forests results have been similar to Derby’s since O’Neills arrival, but a local rival turning up at their place needs anything and everything/stats/form all pointed in the right direction before that type of match. I won’t say the wind is on Forest’s backs, but they must be fancying their chances to grab all the spoils on Monday given Derby’s recent dip in performances and the results.
