ASTON VILLA made it a great night for bookies and a sore one for punters.
I looked at a lot of betting previews on last night's EFL Cup semi and didn't see anyone backing against Leicester.
But to be fair to Villa they defended well and frustrated the favourites to earn a 1-1 draw that leaves the tie firmly in the balance.
The result cost me 6pts – three on a Top Treble running from Monday and three for a Leiester -1 Super Single.
I could have lost more such was mine and other peoples' confidence in the Foxes so that's my only consolation.
It was a shock result and in football they happen. We need to dust ourselves down and go again.
I still have faith in Leicester to reach the Final and playing away may suit them better. Odds are now out and I'm slightly shocked with the Foxes no bigger than 4-11 to reach the Final having won at Villa Park in the league.
On the night Leicester are 5-6 with Villa 4-1 so while I still have faith in Brendan Rodgers' side the odds don't provide value.
Well done to any winners last night with plenty on the French Cup which did go the way of the form book with convincing wins for Lille, Lyon and PSG.
Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi and next up tonight is Barcelona v Atletico Madrid.
We have Torino v Genoa in the Italian Cup and not much else so probably be a no bet day as I look forward to the weekend.

el gooner they are more than capable especially at home. sydneys defence hasn’t been very watertight lately with injuries and suspensions at both full back positions and theres every likelihood it will be the 2 young boys again tomorrow as grant is still suspended and zullo only returned from injury last week. Sydney also looked to be running on empty last week. 2 clean sheets in 12 games suggests its more than likely the jets will find the net. 1-2 or 1-3 imo

I saw Barca’s last game against espanyol and thought they looked very average. Some great individual stuff from Messi and Suarez, but not much else and incredibly open at the other end.
With a neutral venue I’d expect Athletico to get something from this. They battered Barca early on in their recent meeting.

If anyone is on the under bookings in Barcelona v atletico madrid if its with skybet I don’t think skybet count cards given after whistle has gone. 2 cards were shown after ht whistle so I think so far its only 2 cards shown so 20 booking points
The cards count as normal mate because it’s inside the 90 mins,if any of the players get booked agaain it’s a sending off so they have to count them in.
If they were on the park it counts , if not they will not count. I have not seen the match so i do not know for sure .
I’ll have to wait and see. If so that rule sucks as I have had cards shown after full time and those bets lost when I had overs.
