IT was a fairly typical Saturday for me and pretty much a break-even day thanks to Liverpool completing my Top Treble.
That gave me a 7pts winner on Liverpool, Man City and Bayern Munich to win with over 2.5 goals in the three games.
Made up for an agonising defeat on the moneyback special with a 22pts win torn away late on as first Chelsea then Rotherham conceded late equalisers.
My other two trebles and the St Johnstone Super Single were losers so it all added up to a 51.3pts profit on the accas for August and 2pts down on the Super Singles.
At the start of the month I'd have bitten your hand off for those figures but with a little bit of luck in the past week I could have been closer to the 100pts mark.
Well done to all the winners on another Saturday where it's all about narrowing down your shortlist and selecting the right ones.
Greg did that perfectly with two winners out of two while HullShaker's Nap landed. Desmond was a goal away from a nice winner on his over 2.5 goals treble and Scott's both to score treble came in at night.
On Sunday the big game is Rangers v Celtic in the Premiership. I've posted a match preview here.
In England there is another big derby between Arsenal v Spurs while Everton entertain Wolves.
Big games on the Continent include the Rome derby, Villarreal v Real Madrid and Marseille v St Etienne.
Plenty to look at and I'm starting with a both to score treble. Have tipped goals in the Old Firm clash so will include that and also Arsenal v Spurs with four of the last five bringing up this market. Add Villarreal v Real Madrid where four out of five have produced more than 3,5 goals including three 2-2 draws.
Also trying another 1pt moneyback fivefold plus a goals-based treble that starts with Ajax to win and over 2.5 goals at Sparta Rotterdam. Ajax have won there 5-2 and 3-1 in the past two seasons while Sparta's last six have gone over 3.5 goals.
Add both to score at Werder Bremen v Augsburg with both seeing both score in their previous four. Complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Eintracht Frankfurt v Fortuna Dusseldorf.
It was 7-1 Eintracht last season and Fortuna's last six have brought up btts with four of their last five going over 3.5 goals.
The moneyback fivefold is of course more of a long shot and starts with the shortest price in Ajax. Add French Ligue 1 leaders Rennes to maintain their 100 per cent record at home to Nice and staying in France take a chance on Marseille at home to St Etienne in the live night game – Saints haven't won in 25 on the south coast.
Atletico Madrid should be too good at home to Eibar after starting with two 1-0 wins and complete the fivefold with Atalanta to take advantage of any weariness in the legs of Torino after a hard-fought Europa League defeat at Wolves on Thursday.

I was right to be concerned after the line ups were announced, poor choice from Gerrard. Not a game he should be experimenting in.

Apparently it was only the LB that was changed.ger fans need to wake up to the fact they are not were they thought they were and Celtic are not as bad as has been widely reported by the gerrard friendly English media (ie sky) and the Scottish press.
He made three changes from Thursday Flanagan as expected but the main problem was he top out Ojo and Morelos and replaced them with Defoe and Kamara which completed changed the way the team played. That’s why he’s getting stick. Being honest it was a dreadful game with little quality and Celtic won because they took there chances. No complaints from me.
Ojo played for 51 mins and Morelos around 35, and both contributed as much as I have in Celtic v rangers games. When your out played your outplayed.
The fallout has started Sean but no excuses as we were better to a man today. CalMac and Julien outstanding and Eddie is just sensational!
NB89 – surely Gerrard can’t trust Morelos in a Glasgow derby which is why he didn’t start him? Even when he came on though he did nothing but kick anything that moved. Only a poor game when you lose and all that…..
Gerrard maybe picked the wrong team but bottom line is Celtic got it right and some Rangers players weren’t at their best.
It’s why I said pre-match it could go either way – team that turns up normally wins.

Had a treble on today of Arsenal to score 2 or more goals, Frankfurt game over 2.5mgs and Lazio game over 2.5mgs too.
I checked in on the app to see how it was doing and saw that the arsenal and Frankfurt bets had come in. Lazio game was on 90th minute at 1-1… then the 3rd goal landed so the bet was ‘won’ and gave me the option to cash out for an extra 1p?! Clicked it and had £46 sat up in the top right of my screen. Then it said goal was disallowed then the money disappeared!
Can they do that??

Yes as assume VAR disallowed the goal. The app lets you cash out once ball in the net but VAR can still rule it out and therefore mean the bet loses.
They can do it but they need to try and get this VAR situation sorted as it’s causing punters a lot of grief.
Cruel to allow the money to be in your account so to speak then take it away

Hi all I have been on and off this website for a couple of years tried tipping but felt that they were bad tips and generally was on a losing streak which ain’t fair for you guys! Over the years I have lost a lot of money and had to have some breaks! But I’m more strict and follow a lot of your point schemes etc @Hullshaker I read something a few months ago that you gave advice to someone words to the effect that don’t just follow a tip do your own research but the one thing you said is someone is going over 2.5 mgs but you don’t want the risk then go 1.5mgs yeah the odds ain’t massive but winning is winning I was always trying to push the odds! I have won much more and loss less on that advice alone. There’s plenty of advice on here. In short we’ll done and thanks. Plenty of hard work and banter lol
