WHEN you look at Tuesday's card it looks massive but it's lacking quality.

In England we have the EFL Cup where team news is vital. Games include Man United v Derby, Oxford v Man City and Wolves v Leicester and virtually every side involved will make loads of changes.

The two Manchester outfits have big enough squads to put out teams to win and generally this trophy is taken by one of the big six. For value you'll have to look at handicap betting or both to win and over 2.5 goals.

There are also National League games and FA Cup qualifying ties and Yeovil v MK Dons in League Two,

In Scotland the only match is a Betfred Cup quarter-final between Hibs and Aberdeen with the home side in decent form but this will be a close call and maybe Hibs not to lose is the bet.

Elsewhere there are league games in Germany, France, Italy and Spain and that's where I'm going for most of my top tips. Games include Inter v Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid v Huesca, Monaco v Angers and Bayern Munich v Augsburg.

Last night my only bet was a 6-4 double and that was a loser after Sporting Lisbon's loss to Braga. Well done to all the winners including vishal29 for his tips on Hacken.

Tonight nothing much takes my fancy and I'm limiting myself to a Top Treble and both to score treble.

Start the Top Treble with Hibs not to lose and add Toulouse, who have started the season with one defeat in four, to win or draw at home to St Etienne.

Complete the treble with Bayern and over 2.5 match goals. That's landed six out of seven times at home to Augsburg.

Remember to have a look at welovebetting for their tips and video chat.

2pts Top Treble

  • Hibs +1 (7.45pm)
  • Toulouse +1 (8pm)
  • Bayern & over 2.5 match goals (7.30pm)
  • (9-5, Marathonbet)

1pt Both to Score Treble

  • Bournemouth v Blackburn
  • Wolves v Leicester
  • Hannover v Hoffenheim (7.30pm)
  • (4-1, Betfred)

Great title ‘EFL hell’s.. probably leave all the games except I reckon Everton should beat Southampton easily enough with the talent they have in reserve. FH Bayern has served me well over the last few weeks. Augsburg have been scoring a few , so overs is another option. Don’t trust Monaco. Atlectico should do the business , but rarely cover their handicap

NATIONAL league action as Barnet hope to impose more away day misery on a struggling Havant side

    Barnet v Havant & Waterlooville (7.45pm)

Having travelled regularly to the south coast of England due to work commitments, I’ve taken in a few Havant matches over the years as they play just up the road from the office so I always keep a look out for their results

It was a fantastic achievement to win back to back promotions to get to the National league, but this is a huge step up in class and its beginning to show, not least on the road. they are languishing in 21st place with just 10 points from 12 matches, it was also going to be a tough ask this season but it’s their away form that is a real concern along with their leaky defence (25 goals conceded – worst in the league)

Their 6 away matches is grim viewing

    3-0 / 4-3 / 3-4 /4-0/ 3-2/ 1-1 – that’s 18 goals conceded and with 5 of those games seeing 3 or more goals go in.

They head to Barnet who after a shocking start to the season have won 5 of their las 7 with their only defeat coming against high flying Leyton Orient. They are floating just outside the play off places and will view this as an excellent opportunity to keep pace with the sides above.

Given how poor H&W have been on the road and how weak they are defensively, I’m taking Barnet to continue their good form and make it another away day loss for the Hampshire club

    Barnet to Win
    17/20 (bet365) (NAP)
    Over 2.5 match goals
    19/20 (Marathon Bet)
Livingston Res v Albion Rovers Res (8pm)

We have a real mismatch here – Premiership Livingston are playing at home to Albion Rovers who despite winning their first two games, will be no match for the SPFL side in this reserve league fixture

I’ve been informed Livingston are going full strength again tonight, I say again as they went full strength last week and the week before and recorded resounding 7-1 and 9-0 hammerings. This Livingtone side will be made up mostly of 1st team players with only 3 under 20’s in the squad. I’m expecting another big win here for Livi

Limited markets (1/5 for Livi to win) but bet35 are offering bet builder:

Livingston half time / full time
    Over 4.5 match goals
    13/5 (Bet365)

  11. evens knievens 8 months ago

Looking forward to the next 2 nights games particularly Chelsea Liverpool tomorrow.
Just a shame they haven’t televised Arsenal v Brentford. Could be a cracker if Brentford go full strength.

Obviously team news is key which leads me to the question does anyone know why Sutton are such a reasonable price for tonight’s home fixture against bottom of the table Dover?

Pondering putting them in my main bet but wondering if the bookies know something I don’t.

  12. nicks 8 months ago

Anyone fancy athletico -1?? I think they’ll easily cover that

    • mr. orange 8 months ago

They have the Madrid derby at the weekend, may see some changes in the team. Could be the famous 1-0 scoreline imo

    • maccathered 8 months ago

if it’s a League game then your not going to see changes, the league comes first.

    • Mr Fixit 8 months ago

Should cover it but as Mr Orange says check teams especially if you’re going with a big single.

  13. mr. orange 8 months ago

Really like the Freiburg v Schalke game for goals. You can get over 2.0 asian goals at around 1.75

    • evens knievens 8 months ago

      I concur on that one.

While you’re here Mr Orange, are there any particular matches in the Dutch Cup where you can foresee a lot of goals (particularly 1st half goals).

There’s a lot of teams playing that I’m not really familiar with and I wondered whether there’s an opportunity for a 1st half goals aca.

    • mr. orange 8 months ago

Have not checked all fixtures yet, but the ones with the amateur teams at home against pro teams normally are good for goals. In this round you have Noordwijk, DVS, VVSB, Scheveningen, Westlandia and Rijnsburgse Boys who are at home

Afternoon gents – no luck yesterday and sticking closer to home in the shape of a top-of-the-table National League fixture…

This one sees a 4th placed Salford side play host to Hartlepool who sit just 2 point behind in 5th spot.

It’s been a cracking start for both with Salford having been a real force at home netting 3-1-3-3-2 team goals in successive matches at The Peninsula Satdium.

Depsite their dominance, they have been susceptible to conceding goals having done so in 7 of their last 8 matches on home soil – every chance that Hartelpool can exploit this and they have failed to score in just 1 of their own last 8 consecutive matches as they look to maintain a 9 match unbeaten run.

Ought to be a genuinely good game of football this and it’s not just Adam Rooney who has a bit of class; Nathan Pond and new signing Danny Lloys are amongst Salford’s other star men and Hartlepool have planty of their own…can’t see it being a dull encounter!

    Three selections worth a look:

    SALFORD OVER 1.5 TGS…5/6

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…13/10

    OVER 3.5 MGS…9/4

    Beat of luck 👍

    • Mr Fixit 8 months ago

Just back in – good luck with the Salford bets.

  17. leroy 8 months ago

Completely agree with Hull. Salford look reasonably priced, especially considering two of Hartlepool’s good results have been aided by the opposition going down to 10 and 9 men respectively (0-1 at Solihull, 1-2 at Halifax). Convinced myself against taking the single, but with Hull’s confidence I might have a little on Salford bagging twice as well.

    O0.5 Team Goals Treble @ 7/10 (Bet365)

Add: Livingston Reserves v Albion Rovers Reserves

I very rarely post on here these days but feel i’ve found a great bit of value in Estonia!

Trans Narva play Jogeva in the Estonian Cup at 5pm, a game which SkyBet have over 4.5 goals priced at 1/7. However, Bet365 currently have the asian goal line set at 4.5 goals at 1.900 so pretty much evens.

Jogeva lost 7-3 to Paide in the Cup this time last season. Paide currently trail Narva by 13 points in the league and have scored considerably less goals.

I fully expect Narva to put at least 5 past this team and cover the Asian goal line by themselves.

    Tip: Over 4.5 asian goals

    Two Bundesliga games for today:

    Werder Bremen vs. Hertha:
Both teams are in good shape, BUT the odds for Hertha are too high. Werder could not manage to win at home this season. Hertha had 1 Win and 1 Draw. Both times scored 2 goals and scored in their last 5 official games 11 goals

    BTTS @ 1.61
    Hertha to score o1.5 goals @ 2.75
    Hertha to score o2.5 goals @ 8

    Freiburg vs. Schalke
Odds for Freiburg at home are too high. Schalke is the bottom of the Bundesliga. Just a matter of time until Tedesco has to leave. Freiburg managed to score 6 goals the last two games.

    Freiburg to win @ 3.8
    Freiburg to score o1.5 goals @ 3.25

Quick post for the Night Owl…

This one is pinging loud and clear on the goals radar and the hosts St Annes may need something more than religion to save them here as they recoil back onto the ropes after succssive home defeats of 0-5 and 1-7.

Punch-drunk, they’ll be putting the gumshield back in to face none other than T&T heavyweights and table-toppers Western Connection who may just be way too much for a side in such dire form!

Looks like not many of those pesky bookies are playing ball with this one but Bet365 have a couple worth looking at:

    1ST HALF GL 2.0…1.800

    GL 5.0…1.900
