WELL that's July over and we're edging closer to the start of the big kick-off.
Dunfermline v Dundee and Luton v Middlesbrough get us going on Friday night and I'll be watching the action at East End Park with a few beers.
First of all we have the small matter of the Europa League qualifiers and I've posted a separate preview featuring the likes of Progres v Rangers, Aberdeen v Chikhura and Crusaders v Wolves.
I've picked out a Super Single and Top Treble and there are masses of games to consider.
The single is Rangers to win to nil at Progres and the treble is Malmo to beat Domzale after a 2-2 draw away, Linfield +1 v Torshavn after 2-2 away and both to score at Vitorul v Gent after the first leg in Belgium was 6-3.
I've looked at a few other games and best for both to score apart from the Vitorul tie could be the games at Linfield, Riga, Jablonec and Maccabi Haifa.
On Wednesday my Top Treble was a Copenhagen goal short although it could have been covered with Qarabag and Molde on a cruise. That means I end the month just under 2pts down and in the circumstances I'll accept that and look to make a good profit in August.

It used to be a great competition for goals,it was a lot more open,with the prize money on offer nowadays though it’s tightened things up noe end and i think that’s what UEFA was looking to do.
Problem is a lot of teams use there second team and fringe players now in this comp and it isn’t just the clubs in England and don’t take it seriously like in the past when it was formerly known as UEFA Cup. It is not taken seriously till the latter stages which makes it difficult to profit from betting markets. For some sides it’s nothing more than an inconvenience really.

Poor night! 3 from 4 on the overs bet and the main bet fell a goal short in the Olimpija Ljubljana v Yeni Malatyaspor game. Couldn’t believe what I was watching, two teams kicking lumps out each other, ref lost all control and two open goals missed near the end – the keeper wasn’t even between the sticks for one of them!
