THERE are some big games in England on Sunday with Man City trying to knock off one of three wins they need to clinch the title.
I included Sunday games in my English preview and while the views of maccathered – he's backing Burnley to get something – have to be respected after his recent good form I reckon City are too experienced and too good to slip up. As usual the problem is value and they're short considering I'm expecting a one or two-goal win and not a rout.
The lunchtime game between Leicester and Arsenal probably depends on the Gunners' attitude. They have a terrible away record and a Europa League semi-final on Thursday but of course are just one point behind Chelsea in the top-four race.
I don't see Leicester losing and both teams to score is likely too as the home men don't keep loads of clean sheets.
Chelsea also have a Europa League semi to consider as they head to off-form Man United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men at least gave City a game in midweek but lacked quality and if the Blues want this they should take the points but again double chance is the safer bet.
It's impossible Leicester and Chelsea will win and you could add Aston Villa at Leeds for a speculative 30-1 treble.
Aston Villa, on a run of 10 wins in a row, look overpriced at 16-5 with bet365 but need a point to clinch their play-off place so I'm keeping the draw on side. Villa draw no bet pays 41-20 and Leeds may have one eye on the play-offs after three defeats in six wrecked their automatic chances.
In Scotland both matches could be fiery. Aberdeen have lost one in six against Rangers this season and the managers had a verbal spat pre-match. No Alfedo Morelos but still plenty of candidates for a red in a game that's not easy to call. A sending-off pays 7-2 at bet365.
The other match is the Edinburgh derby and I reckon Hibs – 5-4 at Betfred and others – will edge out a Hearts side who lost to Paul Heckingbottom's men at Tynceastle earlier in the month.
Plenty of big games on the Continent and I'll picked out a goals treble and an all-Spanish moneyback special. Start the goals treble with btts at Leicester v Arsenal with three out of four at the King Power going that way as well as this season's meeting at the Etihad. Not sure if Unai Emery will rest players and that's worth checking.
Add a stats-based pick of Amiens v Strasbourg. The last thwo h2hs read 3-1, 4-3 and it was 3-1 at Strasbourg earlier in the season. The visitors' last four matches have gone over 3.5 goals as have three of Amiens' previous six.
Complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Hoffenheim v Wolfsburg. Both sides have slim hopes of a Champions League spot with Hoffenheim in sparkling form with 15 goals in four games. Should be an open game with plenty of goals.
Hoffenheim are one of the sides I like to win as well the likes of Napoli, Marseille and Bayern (too short).
But as I like a lot of the Spanish games I'm doing a La Liga moneyback fivefold. Start early with Champions League chasers Valencia at home to mid-table Eibar. Valencia had won four in a row before a battling 3-2 defeat at Atletico Madrid in midweek.
Getafe are holding on to fourth and a dream CL debut and are a big price at relegationed-threatened Real Sociedad who have won one in 10.
Sevilla are also tracking the final CL place and visit a Girona side who have lost six in a row.
At the other end Villarreal should edge out a battling Huesca as they fight to beat the drop and finally take Real Madrid to follow their win at Getafe by seeing off basement boys Rayo Vallecano.
On Saturday my Albion Rovers Super Single landed easily as they won 3-0 at Berwick so that's just losses their reduced to 1pt.
I was cautious with my accas on a tricky day but a 41-10 both to score winners gave me profit for the day with the Top Treble and moneyback fivefold costing me 3pts.

I’m sure Aberdeen had 8 cards in this fixture last time they’ve been more physical this season of that there is no doubt.
The foul by Dom Ball on Ryan Christie in the Cup semi the other week was just a small example of what they do against teams. Ferguson has also been putting it about and I will myself be backing him for first card 8/1 and a red 16/1.
They had 8 booking in the cup game last month and it could have been more. Their game plan against Rangers in Glasgow this season has been to sit in, defend well, disrupt the play and take advantage from set pieces and mistakes which to be fair to them they’ve done well.

I do expect us to score today likely from a set piece or corner. Although were having no trouble finding the net, we are nowhere near as defensively sound as last season, giving dangerous players too much time and space and I think City will find that in between out two banks of 4 with clever movement. Most likely result for me is either 1-3 or 1-4.
Glimmer of hope for Macca is we often do well against City at home, I can remember when we beat them 1-0 just over 4 years ago thanks to a George Boyd thunderbolt and I’d say we have more chance of winning today than we did back then. I had no doubts that Sheff Utd would join Norwich in the promised land, such a shame they never got to experience promotion on the pitch instead of waiting on a game almost 24hrs later to play out. Someone said to me today that because rangers weren’t in SPL,all Celtic titles don’t count…..Whit a loada sh**e…So when rangers won league 2 then league 1 then Championship & promoted to SPL….Shouldn’t they have NOT been promoted each year cos Celtic werent in the leagues at the same time??? When Celtic win 9 in a row,then 10-11-12-13-14 etc etc etc…Then the chatter can stop !!!!!

Rangers were in the mess that they were because they never ran their club correctly and went bust. For as long as there’s been Scottish football, the top division has almost always been a 2 way tussle between Celtic and Rangers. If one team cannot be part of that tussle because it’s been declared bankrupt, the titles Celtic won in Rangers absence are still valid. The only issue I have about Celtic having it all their own way for a number of seasons is that because there is such a gulf between those 2 and the also rans in the league, Celtic have not invested much to improve their team – because they’ve had nobody else in the league to challenge them. If they don’t need to spend money because they can get the job done with what they have, then why on earth would any sane person paying the bills ever want to overspend. Maybe I’m getting a step ahead of myself here but whilst Celtic have not had Rangers to compete with, Scottish participation in European footie has largely become and anti-climax. It may take 3 or 4 years to see Celtic and Rangers become almost equal again. I’d love Rangers and Celtic to put a good run together in the European competitions, its a shame that because there is a big gap between the English and Scottish premier leagues, we might be years away from it happening. By the way, I speak as a neutral.

Managed to eek out another small gain on a goal in those 2 matches, but bet365 voided payout re: the Brugge game. I never cashed it out, but a goal got awarded just before ht and bet365 paid out, then voided it. I then dropped onto the Villareal game and they paid out on that but left the Brugge game hanging by a thread with the bet still open. Squeaky bum time again in the final 20 mins, but Brugge did the biz on 78 mins. I’ve done the maths and I’ve not lost anything, so kudos to bet365.
I think I need to take a break. My nails have been bitten down to stumps.
