TUESDAY started with a shocker as Real Madrid were held at home to Bruges and it finished with a crazy game at Spurs.
Bayern Munich were simply superb and took advantage of some terrible defending to rack up seven.
Four out of seven tips on my Champions League preview landed but my trebles were losers.
Well done to all the winners last night including Scott with another members bet success.
There are another eight games on Wednesday and on paper Liverpool v Red Bull Salzburg looks a cracker while Chelsea face a tricky trip to Lille.
I've posted a separate Champions League preview and there are previews of every match elsewhere on the site.
Other games include RB Leipzig v Lyon and Barcelona v Inter and in the Championship there are five games including Charlton v Swansea and Barnsley v Derby.
For a Super Single I'm on Leipzig and over 2.5 match goals. Lyon are winless in seven but have a goal threat and netted seven in four on the road so boast a goal threat.
Leipzig had been going great guns until losing 3-1 at home to Schalke at the weekend. Before that they'd won four in a row with over 2.5 goals and drawn 1-1 with Bayern Munich.
The Liverpool and Chelsea parts of my goals treble are reasoned and I've added both to score at Luton v Millwall. The Lions' have seen this market come up in five out of six and Luton's previous six have gone over 2.5 goals.

Bit late for me to do my usual write-up but I’ll try to put something in more worthwhile towards kick-off.
Derby should beat Barnsley away tonight, bet365 have Derby at 13/8 for the win and I’m thinking it’s a bit generous. Derby historically have about a 48% win ratio away to Barnsley and even though the Rams have hardly set the league on fire, we’re through a tough run of games with the next handful all winnable. Derby have only lost twice this season, drawing 5 and winning 2, but Barnsley are in all sorts of a mess. A double result for the rams would be a smart move for acca’s but I still see Derby winning in Barnsley.

Mr F. If like the Sapporo Dome stadium then I don’t think the roof’s open. This particular venue is climate controlled apparently and is initially a baseball and football stadium. They actually switch pitches for different events. Artificial to grass. Also rearranging the seating areas which takes upto 8hrs for different sports, so spectators have a better view for each sport played. And the dome roof keeps any rain at bay! Don’t do things by half the Japanese!

It’s all down to the weather as this is typhoon season in Japan and to ensure all the games go ahead. Some stadiums have retractable roofs and a couple are entirely indoor. With the humidity it’s making the conditions tougher and a lot of the teams have been preparing by using balls covered in baby oil etc…. to try and adapt. It’ll make for some interesting games between teams that are more even in the later rounds. Good World Cup though so far.
