What a weekend for Arsenal. Defeat for Man City followed by a win in the North London derby sees them eight-points clear at almost the half-way stage.

Bruno Lage was a truly awful manager. Lost the dressing room and his training sessions were poor and resulted in the players losing fitness. Didn’t get any better really with Steve Davies as a caretaker. Lovely bloke and wolves through and through but completely out of his depth.
Lopetegui is a different gravy. The players are organised and motivated and fitness is improving weekly (not fully there but far improved). He also uses the 5 subs really well.
Cunha looks a good signing. Lemina is a really good squad addition and we should have Sarabia and Joao Gomes sealed this week. We’re in for Dawson and/or Felipe. Really just leaves a good number 9 and maybe a right back. We were interested in wan bissaka but with Dalot seemingly injured again Man U won’t release him.
At the half way point after a woeful first half of the season we’re just out of relegation. Hopefully we will push on now under Lopetegui.
Liverpool look poor and I think/hope after last weeks controversy we will be highly up for it and the atmosphere at molineux tomorrow will be tasty.

So I’m just watching today’s people tips and they all coming out so far, especially yours and I haven’t put a single one yet….. The funny part is when I start placing bets they all start failing…. Blows my mind…
City v spurs could be a tasty affair, city on the rebound after a couple of poor results for them losing to Southampton and drawing home to Everton and not seeing out the derby when leading were un city like, and spurs surely can’t afford another defeat or Conte will be doing his “I’m leaving if I don’t get more money to waste” routine.
If spurs lose and United and Newcastle both win they will be 8 points off the top 4.

I think city like Liverpool have lost a bit of spark after beating each other up for the last few years.
Losing mane was huge as he was vital to their pressing game as it starts with with strikers, now their midfield and especially their defence look more exposed because their press isn’t suffocating teams as much as it did.
Getting knocked out of the league cup may do city a favour, same with arsenal as players now how 3 less games to fit in, this could cause united problems as they are still in 4 competitions.
As for spurs as a neutral I see Conte’s defence first philosophy seems to be surpressing their flair players.
