The dust has barely settled on Manchester City’s Champions League win on Saturday but the bookies already have them as firm favourites to be victorious again in 2024.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been installed as early 2/1 favourites, miles in front of the rest of the market which is led by Bayern Munich at 7/1 and PSG at 9/1.
Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are 12/1 shots, as are Arsenal. Man Utd are 14/1 and Italian champions Napoli are at 16s.
It’ll be Newcastle’s first appearance in the competition in 20 years and the Magpies, who will be in pot 4, are rated 20/1 shots, ahead of the likes of Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund, Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid (33/1) and this season’s finalists Inter (33/1).
This season’s Europa League winners, Sevilla, are 66/1.
Celtic go straight in to the group stages, where they’ll also be in pot 4 for the draw, and it’s 150/1 for a repeat of their 1967 success while Rangers need to navigate two knock-out rounds to make the groups and they’re 500/1 to lift the trophy.
We won't know the group stage line up until August 31st but the brilliant Bert Kassie has compiled a projected list of seeds based on the favourites (highest co-efficient) progress from the various qualifying routes.
On the betting front today it's a very quiet one but we've got some international matches to look forward to this week including the finale of the UEFA Nations League and there's the US Open from the Los Angeles Country Club, so keep an eye out for the Caddy's tips for that one.

I think it’ll be a big ask for City to do it again, I would never advise backing such a market until we see players teams have signed, if Madrid sign Mbappe and Bellingham then that 2/1 on City doesn’t look appealing. Same goes for domestic leagues.
