The top two in Ireland go head to head at Tallaght tonight in a match that could go a long way to determining the destination of the Premier Division title.

A win for Shamrock Rovers would see them open up a seven point gap over Derry City who will feel they can’t afford to lose.

Rovers were held to a 2-2 in the Dublin Derby at rivals Bohemians on Friday night after letting a two-goal lead slip, while Derry got back to winning ways with a routine 2-0 win over Cork City.

It was the Candystripes first win in five and timely victory for Ruaidhrí Higgins’ men with St Pats breathing down their necks in third.

There’s been little between the sides when they’ve met lately with either side winning at the other’s ground already this term. The last ten meetings have seen Rovers win five, Derry four and the other drawn. Rovers have a busy month ahead with their European campaign kicking-off next week and tonight’s clash will be their last league game at Tallaght until August.

Hoops boss Stephen Bradley wasn’t too despondent after the draw with Bohs and if the champions can produce a similar display then they’re a decent bet at even money to claim the three points.

GregMac has his eye on goals in tonight's other clash between Dundalk and St Patrick's so don't miss his tips below.

came across as a decent softly spoken chap given the job he was doing and the stick these managers invariably get.

He does it every time someone famous passes away, yeah you see people on the tv saying he was a nice fella but these people knew him.

I remember when someone famous died a long time ago and elvis piped up what a decent bloke he was. I was sat in a restaurant one night and actually saw the very same bloke being racist to the staff serving him, he wasn’t nice at all.

Jeezus macca why you been saving all this hate against me.

I made a simple human comment and you get on your high horse.

Did those millions of people mourning the queen last year know her personally?

Is klopp died tomorrow I wager you would drop an r.i.p here and tell us what a great guy he has been

Anyway I’ll stick to posting losers only in future and cut out any small talk.

This used to be Mr fixit tips and chat site, now if you chat it gets thrown back in your face.

Had a gutful to be honest, good night, that cat better not be around or it might be getting the boot.

No hate at all elvis but a simple rip is enough, you banged on about how nice someone was once and he was the total opposite.

Wee Broony did have a few skeletons off the pitch off that there is no doubt and shamefull.
He was a top coach and done very well with the national side then okay at club level.

I wonder how Kalvin Phillips is feeling about that, maybe he’ll move on 50 million and he’s hardly played.
