Monday’s football tips: Leeds star Stach 11/10 to trouble the Newcastle keeper at Elland Road

Leeds United and Newcastle United have made almost identical starts to the Premier League season so it should be a close encounter when they collide at Elland Road tonight.

Both side have banked five points from three games and only goal difference is keeping Daniel Farke's side below the Magpies.

But Leeds are usually strong at home so they'll be confident of securing the win that will take them above Matthias Jaissle's side.

Leeds United vs Newcastle United

Leeds lost 6-3 to Chelsea in the EFL Cup in midweek but both teams fielded weakened sides at Stamford Bridge and Farke's men are on an impressive run of form in the Premier League.

They've lost just four of their last 20 games and that's probably why Bet365 make them 13/10 favourites tonight, with Newcastle as big as 2/1.

But the Magpies have impressed since Jaissle took over and have scored two or more in each of their Premier League outings so far.

That makes me think tonight's clash should be entertaining and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays evens.

Leeds midfielder Anton Stach loves a dig from distance and scored from a free-kick in their opening win at Nottingham Forest.

The German is 11/10 just to have a short on target tonight and that looks worth a punt.

Inter Milan vs Udinese

Inter Milan lost their Champions League opener in midweek and will be looking to bounce back with a win when Udinese come calling in Serie A tonight.

Boss Cristian Chivu will still be wondering how his side failed to take anything from the Bernabeu after outplaying Real Madrid for most of Tuesday's 2-1 defeat.

Their Italian title defence has gone to plan so far with three successive victories, although they needed to score two late goals to beat Napoli 3-2 last time out.

Udinese's four-game unbeaten run ended last Monday with a 2-1 home loss to Lazio and Bet365 make them 12/1 rank outsiders today.

I'm not sure I'd have them as big as that if Inter's defence hands out the same gifts they presented to Real Madrid in Spain.

But keeping out Chivu's vibrant attack will be the biggest issue and wide boy Andy Diouf caught my eye in midweek.

He's 13/10 to score or assist tonight and that looks good after he ran riot down the right flank at the Bernabeu.

Villarreal vs Real Betis

Two of Spain's Champions League representatives face off in La Liga tonight as Real Betis head to El Madrigal to take on Villarreal.

These sides had contrasting fortunes in midweek as Betis claimed an excellent 3-2 away to Lille while Villarreal lost by the same score in Dortmund.

That continued a worrying start for the Yellow Submarine, who have lost their last three games to make it five without a win.

Real Betis, on the other hand, have won four out of five and the only blot on their copybook was a 5-2 loss in Levante.

So I'm surprised to see Villarreal as Bet365's 10/11 favourites today and plenty of punters will take a nibble on Real Betis at 13/5.

I'm going to play it a bit safer and back Manuel Pellegrini's men to win either half at 11/10.
