Monday’s football tips: Birmingham ready to Crawl their way back to the top

Birmingham City have been playing catch up in the League One title race but have the chance to hit the summit tonight as they visit struggling Crawley Town.

The Blues have two games in hand on leaders Wycombe and have played three fewer than third-placed Wrexham so this is their chance to make a statement.

Both title rivals dropped points over the weekend and boss Chris Davies will be desperate to take advantage so his squad can celebrate Christmas Day by going top.

Crawley Town find themselves sitting in 21st place, two points clear of safety, but also have games in hand so this is a huge match for them too.

Crawley Town vs Birmingham City top betting tips

Birmingham City have hit their stride again in recent weeks, winning six in a row in all competitions, while Crawley have won just two of their last eight so it's no surprise to see the Blues as BoyleSports' 4/11 hot favourites.

Crawley have been scoring freely, netting eight times across their last three games, so it could pay to back a Birmingham win with BTTS at 2/1. Combining both teams to score and over 2.5 goals also pays a decent 5/4.

Italian champions Inter Milan have hit top form and it could get ugly for struggling Como tonight if Simone Inzaghi's men are in the mood.

Although Inter sit third, they have two games in hand on title rivals Atalanta and Napoli. With both those sides winning over the weekend, the champions will be desperate to respond with a victory tonight.

It's hard to put up a case for Como springing a shock, with the minnows sitting just one point above the drop zone in a congested bottom half of the table.

Inter routed in-form Lazio 6-0 in their last Serie A outing so they look decent enough value at 20/23 with BoyleSports to be winning at half-time and full-time tonight.

For longer odds, backing Inzaghi's side to win both halves takes you to 17/10 with the same firm.

Fiorentina vs Udinese top betting tips

Fifth-placed Fiorentina are still in with a chance of mounting a title push themselves as they also have two games in hand on most of the teams above them.

But the Viola have a tricky assignment tonight as a dangerous Udinese side come to Florence looking to spark their own season to life.

Udinese sit down in ninth and have won just once in eight games in all competitions but they have a squad capable of asking Fiorentina a few questions.

La Viola are still BoyleSports' 4/7 favourites with home advantage and it's hard to disagree with 12 of their last 16 games ended in victories.

Their form has dipped a little of late though, with a defeat to Bologna and a draw with Vitoria Guimaraes in Fiorentina's last two outings.
