UFC heads to Brazil tonight with alot of home fighter and huge home support with the weigh ins absolutely jam packed. Since this fight has been announced i’ve been waiting to see what the build up was like and to me Miocic has the persona of a champion. Werdum looked like the challenger in the weigh ins and i think Miocic has the composure and skill to keep this on the outside for three rounds. Werdum is very dangerous on the ground but is carrying ten pounds less than Stipe and i trust in Stipe’s wrestling to keep him on the feet in the clinch
Ronaldo Souza by submission 5/6
Souza is very durable as he has showed in previous fights and i think Belfort has passed his best here, time for Souza to step up and he will in my opinion, probably by rear naked choke!

Great fight in my opinion, the veteran Shogun fighting the young and up coming BEASTIN’ 25/8 Anderson. Shogun is either gonna knock his ass out in the opening round or get picked apart and dominated for three rounds. I’ll take the latter pick thank you very much!

Alves fights a confidence fuelled Barberena here after disposing of “wonderkid” Sage Northcutt in his last fight. Don’t read too much into that though as Northcutt was going to get taught a lesson eventually as he isn’t actually as good as everyone was making out! Regardless i believe Alves is a bigger deal than Northcutt and should take this, i’ll pick submission.

Tough call between submission or points for this one but i have to go with the submission specialist Maia to take this one. Most of his submission wins came early in his career, with him picking apart his opponents more so these days. However Brown has 9 of his 13 losses by submission and i feel he is too weak on the ground and will get found out in round 2 or 3.
