JAN 21: AFRICAN NATIONS CUP

LIBYA scored just six goals in six games to qualify for the finals so don't expect a goalfest when the action gets under way tonight.

Opening matches of tournaments are often cagey and co-hosts Equitorial Guinea will do well to break down a stubborn defence that conceded just one goal in six qualifiers.

Guinea will be backed by a fanatical support but the loss of French boss Henri Michel, who quit just over a month ago, may be difficult to overcome.

Brazilian replacement Gilson Paulo had less than a week after first training session to pick his squad and that lack of prepartion could play into the Libyans' hands.

The Ba factor has been responsible for the Senegalese being cut from 10-1 to a biggest 13-2 to win the trophy.

At Newcastle he can't stop scoring and must be worth a look at 5-1 with bet365 to score first. Of course he will have competition from new clubmate Papiss Demba Cisse and Lille's Moussa Sow but let's take a chance on Demba.

Senegal are a best 8-11 at Ladbrokes to win with Zambia 5-1 at BetVictor.
