Saturday was a bloodbath for all our selections and the icing on the cake was Kinross winning after me thinking his days were numbered…

Rizzel's first two runners were subject to big drifts yet again. 6/1 out to 10/1 before the off on Mr King and 8/1 out to 16/1 before the off on Michaela's Boy is just grim. Both horses ran like their drifts said they would, finishing last and second last. Rizz's final selection Rogue Bullet was well found in the market and went off as the favourite, but the jockey gave the horse a stinking ride, by going for gaps which were never there instead of going out wide, which was where the eventual winner came from.

Just a quick announcement that I'll be dropping down again to a more come and go when I can basis. I recently landed a new job, and I can't commit the time and effort to the thread that I'm used to doing. I plan to hop on 10/15 times a month, while also covering other bits and pieces such as UFC when and whenever I can. Rizz will continue to do his thing and nothing else will change in terms of how this thread is run. Thanks again to those who give us a bit of support, and I hope to see you all active as usual in the comments section.

Cairnzy's Tips

Fair Angellica 5/2 – Doncaster 3.15

The Richard Hughes yard has been in splendid form this year and he's in touching distance of landing 50 winners for the year which is a great return if you've been a follower of his yard this term. He has a few nice types within his string but the one who looks an above-average sort is his filly Fair Angellica, who I've chosen as my selection for this race.

Fair Angellica remains a lightly raced filly after only seven runs and she took her form to a new level most recently when landing a Listed contest over in France by just under 2L. Ryan Moore gave her a peach of a ride in Deauville that day, racing prominently throughout the contest before kicking clear within the final two furlongs to win with the minimum of fuss. Fair Angellica hit the line hard that day, suggesting she had a lot more in the tank and could possibily step back up in trip again at some point after disappointing over the mile at Ascot two runs ago. My selection is also versatile ground-wise, with form on both soft and good ground throughout her short career, so conditions will not be an issue.

Great Generation also caught my eye at the prices, that one has Group form in the book but has to bounce back after a no show in Group One company in Deauville last month. Doom also has Group form in the book but similar to Great Generation, he has to bounce back after a recent below par performance.

Rizzel's Tips

Purple Lily 5/2 – Curragh 2.25

I think the best horse in this race is Purple Lily, but whether she'll get a clear run is the real question.

Paddy Twomey's 3-year-old daughter of Calyx has run some belting races this year without actually getting her head in front since March. She was a runner-up at Navan over today's trip, and the form could hardly be any better as the winner went on to win the Epsom Oaks. In behind, Caught U Looking, Bellezza and Wingspan all race in today's race, and based on that run from months ago and even more recently, I can't see a reverse in that form.

Purple Lily was fifth in the Irish 1000 Guineas. That was a good effort as a mile is definitely too short for this filly and the way she finished off her race proved that. The time after they went for the Irish Oaks, which was definitely an avenue worth pursuing, and she ran with plenty of credit, but I don't think she stayed the 12f even though she might've looked like a horse who would. She didn't get the clearest of runs through the field, which is my main concern for today's race as she is drawn on the inside and I can picture something similar happening. Before needing the gap she was the only horse in the race still on the bridle, everything else around her was under a lot of pressure, and when she eventually got the gap she put in her challenge, but then her petrol emptied and she didn't quite see the trip out.

I'd say the Irish Oaks race is up there for being one of the strongest pieces of form, as Content and You Got To Me battled at York a few weeks ago, with the O'Brien horse coming out on top this time around.

I firmly believe back to 10f on decent racing ground, I think Purple Lily is the horse to beat, as long as Billy Lee can avoid any trouble, which seems such a hard task for these flat jockeys these days…

Believing 11/4 – Curragh 3.35

This sprinting division in the UK and Ireland has been up in the air for the best part of a couple of years since the dominant forces of Blue Point and Battaash retired. It appears that they take turns in winning the Group 1s and 2s, with no real stand-out consistent performer. Bradsell is short for this race as he has returned in great form for Archie Watson, winning twice this season, once in France and the other in Nunthorpe at York.

The last two Group 1s over the sprint trips have been a total farce. The track bias at York towards the far side, favouring low numbers all week was ridiculous and then last week at Haydock, if you weren't on the far side again you had no chance as that was where the best ground was by a country mile. For that reason, I think Believing has a cracking chance for today's race as she was drawn on the near side at York in the Nunthorpe, drawn in stall 13 of 14 and had to race on the slower side yet managed to finish just 0.75L behind Bradsell, who had the golden highway on the far side and was dragged into the race by the extremely quick Pontos who did the donkey work for Bradsell. On the other hand, Believing pretty much raced on her own for the majority of the race and didn't have a horse to aim at, and I thought it was a cracking performance for her to get as close as she did.

She has been in great form all season, with a 3rd/10 at Glorious Goodwood behind Big Evs, which was a good effort as that course doesn't play to her strengths of being held up and running on late, so all in all it was a pleasing effort. The time before that she proved that she has a liking for the Curragh as she won a Group 2, winning as the EVS fav, so was expected to win, but it's nice to see she has a liking for the venue and it's not a surprise as it is deceivingly testing at this track.

She is drawn in Stall 1, which could be the wrong side yet again, but this time she should have horses to drag her into contention with the likes of Matilda Picotte likely to go forward as well as Desperate Hero from Stall 2.

    Cheers Mr 2000 👍.

The nap of the day hasn’t been great has it, a washout 0-7
Mind you he started the week on +£70 when no one here had seen a tip which was a cheap shot as if to lure us in to his tips.

Now cairnzy is semi retired are they still sticking rigidly to the points system ?
Especially as rizzell retired then came back.
Saying that one tipster a day means more clarity as we know who to blame 🤣🤣.
This is a Joke cairnzy before you ban me again.

What job have you had cairnzy by the way, is it linked to betting on another site or a complete change.
Try delivering parcels in a monsoon like me, that’s fun 🤣 👍

Better off doing your own thing as a punter it’s much more fun you actually feel like your taking part in the whole betting experience yes you will lose but no more than following anyone on here I’m sure . For me personally I feel more sick losing money following someone than I do losing at my own hands . Being a tipster seems like a crap thankless job but still not a bad gig if you can chuck a few paragraphs together and get paid win or lose 😂
