ARSENAL defied the odds to book their place in the FA Cup final with a well earned 2-0 win over Man City at an empty Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners were 8/1 shots to win and despite City enjoying over 70% possession Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's double was the difference between the two sides.
We'll learn who'll join them for the August 1st final on Sunday night when Man Utd meet Chelsea and both will no doubt fancy their chances a wee bit more now that hot favourites City are out.
The bookies make Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer's side the 7/5 favourite's to win inside 90 minutes but four-time winner Frank Lampard will have designs on stopping United in their tracks. Whether his questionable defend can't tame the likes of Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and Fernandez remains to be seen.

Today in the A-League, we see Brisbane Roar hosting Adelaide United. This is a bit of a strange one, as both sides have lost their coach during the last few months. Adelaide have also lost a couple of players, the only notable one being defender Maria.
This game could go either way. Based on form before the break, I would have said the Roar, but now it’s anyone’s guess. I still think home advantage, as well as Adelaide’s dodgy defense, means this will likely go the way of the Roar. But given the home side are rather mercurial, this could also go the complete other way.
For me, I’ll play on the fact that we’re more likely to see set pieces and cards.

I had a fiver on a 16/1 bet builder, which included one booking for each team.
In my opinion, there is absolutely NO doubt that crowds make a difference to both players’ and referees’ decision making, as well as the tempo of a match.
A roaring crowd CAN have a ref reaching for a card, even for the most innocuous of challenges.
Now that I’m retired, I’ve spent most days during lockdown watching games from all over the world, and I’m in NO doubt that the lack of an audience has an effect of some kind, on EVERY game.
I totally agree and it makes tipping much harder.
Was watching Stoke vs Brentford yesterday and if there had been fans the Bees would have had a big and noisy away following to urge them back into the game.
But with no noise and support they couldn’t get up for it and it could cost them promotion.
I must admit though, the MLS Is Back tournament has been a godsend.

Greg, you mentioned a few days back on la liga goals total was a let down by var ruling out many last minute goals. However tonight was squeaky bum time as there were 26 goals in all the matches and Levante score in the 99th minute to bring in 27bgoals which was on skybet 1.80. Works both ways and thank the lord for last minute goals!
