European chasing Viking host Sandefjord at the SR-Bank Arena on Saturday evening. The hosts currently lie in 6th position and just five points off Rosenborg in 3rd. Sandefjord currently lie in 11th but are eight points clear of Brann who currently occupy the relegation playoff spot.
Viking come into this suffering a solitary defeat in their last seven matches, collecting 14/21 points. That defeat came against champions Bodø/Glimt in what was a tricky set of fixtures which also saw them play Molde twice and Rosenborg. That defeat against Glimt was only their second defeat at home, with them winning six of their 10 matches. Sandefjord come into this after suffering a disappointing 0-3 defeat against second from bottom Stabæk which makes it only one win in seven games. Sandefjord have lost five of their nine away matches, with all 10 points collected on their travels coming against bottom half sides. Sandefjord have only kept one clean sheet away from home, conceding a total of 21 goals. In six of those away matches, Sandefjord have conceded 2+ goals.
Viktoria Plzen vs Zlin

Zlin come into this on a bad run of form losing their last three matches, conceding a whopping 11 goals in the process. Zlin have lost six of their nine games this season, with all nine points coming against sides in the bottom four positions. Zlin have conceded a league high 23 goals with 10 of them coming in their four away games. Zlin have lost all four games against the sides directly below Plzen in the league, conceding 14 times.
Bet of the Day
Viking will look to kick on from recent results against sides at the top by defeating a struggling Sandefjord side. Viking are vulnerable defensively though and are the only side in the Eliteserien yet to keep a clean sheet. Therefore, I’ll take Viking to score at least twice as they may need to to take all three points. Viktoria Plzen have made an almost perfect start to the season and will look to keep their 100% home record intact. They come up against a Zlin side currently on a real bad run of form. With them conceding 11 goals in their last three games and having the league leakiest defence, I’ll add in Plzen to score at least twice with the win.
