⚽️ Stenhousemuir vs Livingston

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Championship

⏰ Friday 30 October, 19:30

Two clubs separated only by six points in the Scottish Championship table meet at Ochilview Park on Friday night as second-placed Stenhousemuir entertain sixth-placed Livingston in a fixture that I’m keen to oppose goals in.

Ex-Livingston player and manager Marvin Bartley has seen his side score 13 goals across their opening 12 matches since promotion to the Championship, with just one coming across their past four matches.

The Warriors have scored a goal or fewer in each of their past eight league outings – failing to score in three of their past four – and face a Livingston backline that has kept a clean sheet in each of their last two and three of their previous five contests.

Interim boss David Martindale has seen his side score just 15 goals across their opening 12 matches since relegation back to the Championship, with just six (40%) of them coming on their travels.

Livi have scored a goal or fewer in seven (58%) of those clashes – failing to score in 3/5 (60%) of their road trips – and face a Stenny backline that has conceded just nine goals in the Championship this term.

Bet of the Day

Stenhousemuir’s opening 12 matches since promotion to the Scottish second tier have averaged just 1.83 goals per game, with Under 2.5 Goals banking in 10 (83%) of them – including in seven of their most recent eight contests.

Livingston’s opening 12 matches since relegation to the Championship have averaged 2.17 goals per game, with Under 2.5 Goals paying out in eight (67%) of them – including in 4/5 (80%) of their road trips.

What’s more, the two previous meetings in league and cup this season between these two clubs have produced a solitary goal, and I’m happy to back another low-scoring clash at Ochilview Park on Friday night.

  • Under 2.5 Goals
  • Pays 43/40 (bet365)
