Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on one of the Conference League semi-finals and I like the possibly of goals in Rotterdam.

Feyenoord vs Marseille

🇪🇺 Conference League

⏰ Thursday 28th April, 20:00

Feyenoord host French giants Marseille in the first leg of their Conference League semi-final at De Kuip. The winners of this tie will face either Leicester City or Roma in the final in the Albanian capital Tirana.

After topping their group by taking 14 points from a possible 18, Feyenoord then dispatched of Serbian side Partizan 8-3 on aggregate before knocking out Czech champions Slavia Prague 6-4. After beginning with a 0-0 draw away to Maccabi Haifa in the group stage, Arne Slot’s side have since gone on to score on multiple occasions in each of their last nine European fixtures, scoring 25 goals. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in either of those nine games, conceding 13 goals. In the Eredivisie, De Stadionclub have scored in 27/30 of their fixtures, finding the back of the net 69 times. Feyenoord’s opponents have been carded in 26/30 of their matches in the Eredivisie, as well as in all 10 of their Conference League fixtures, whilst they themselves have been carded in eight of them.

After finishing third in their Europa League group, Marseille swept aside Azerbaijani side Qarabağ, before edging past both Basel and PAOK. Jorge Sampaoli’s side have found the back of the net in 10/12 of their European fixtures this season, including all six of their Conference League games, scoring 13 goals in the process. Marseille have found the back of the net in 28/34 of their Ligue 1 fixtures this season, including in each of their last 13 away. Marseille have conceded in 11 of their 13 Ligue matches, conceding 17 goals. Marseille opponents have been carded on multiple occasions in 10/12 of their European fixtures this season, as well as being carded in 32/34 of their Ligue 1 tussles. Domestically, OM have been carded in 29 of those matches, as well as in 11/12 in Europe.

Bet of the Day

Feyenoord host Marseille in the first leg of their Conference League semi-final and I’m expecting an entertaining match at De Kuip. As well as scoring in all bar three of their 30 Eredivisie fixtures, Feyenoord have found the back of the net on multiple occasions in each of their last nine European fixtures, scoring 25 goals and should net against a Marseille side that’s conceded in 11 of their last 13 matches in Ligue 1. OM rarely fail to score also, finding the back of the net in 28/34 of their Ligue 1 matches this season, as well as in 10 of their 12 European fixtures, including in all six in the Conference League and they too should net against their Dutch opponents who’ve conceded in each of their last nine European games. To boost the price up, I’m happy to throw in both sides to get a card. Arne Slot’s hosts have saw their opponents being carded in 36/40 of their combined league and European matches this season season, whilst the French giants have only failed to draw a card in four of their 46 league and European fixtures combined this season.
