Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me once more focus on the Nations League fixtures and there’s a match I like the look of for goals at both ends.

Two nations who have made strong starts to their Nations League campaign go head-to-head in Skopje, as North Macedonia play host to Georgia at the Toše Proeski Arena.
After coming from behind to secure a 1-1 draw away to Bulgaria, North Macedonia saw off minnows Gibraltar 0-2 to help bring up Sunday’s Bet of the Day. Despite shocking Italy with a 0-1 win in their playoff semi-final, Blagoja Milevski’s side won’t be at this years World Cup, as they were defeated 2-0 by Portugal in their playoff final. North Macedonia finished in second spot behind Germany in their World Cup qualifying group, scoring 23 times, with 19 of those coming in their six qualifiers against Armenia, Iceland and Lichtenstein. The Risovi kept five clean sheets in those 10 qualifiers, however four of those came against Lichtenstein and Armenia, with them conceding 11 times in their other five World Cup Qualifiers.
Georgia followed up their routine 4-0 win over minnows Gibraltar in Tbilisi with an impressive 2-5 away to Bulgaria to make it two wins from two to begin their Nations League campaign. Willy Sagnol’s side failed to qualify for their first ever World Cup this year, finishing in fourth place in their World Cup qualifying group, but did finish their campaign strongly, winning 1-2 away to Kosovo before defeating the Swedes 2-0 in front of their own supporters. That victory over Sweden was the Crusaders only clean sheet in World Cup qualifying, conceding 12 times in their other seven qualifiers.
Bet of the Day
These two sides have made impressive starts to their Nations League campaigns and I’m expecting a fairly entertaining encounter when the pair go head-to-head on Thursday evening in Skopje. As well as winning both of their opening two Nations League fixtures, Willy Sagnol’s visitors also won their last two World Cup qualifiers, scoring a combined total of 13 goals in they four matches and I can see the free-scoring Georgians adding to that tally in the North Macedonian capital. However, the Crusaders kept just one clean sheet in World Cup qualifying, as well as conceding twice away to Bulgaria last time out and I don’t expect them to shutout a North Macedonia side that scored 19 goals in their six World Cup qualifiers against Armenia, Iceland and Lichtenstein, as well as scoring in both their opening two Nations League fixtures.
