DEC 7: BETWAY ENHANCED TOP TREBLE

ONE team beat my last week and it's been a recurring theme with the Top Treble. I went for three aways and after wins for Brentford and Dumbarton it was Stranraer who let me down.

This weekend is slightly complicated by the FA Cup ties that replace League One and League Two fixtures and punters have to do their homework with these and make sure there's not too much squad rotation going on.

I'm starting this weekend with Dundee United at home to a Hearts side who must still be feeling the pain of last week's 7-0 home defeat by Celtic.

The last thing they needed was to face a dynamic Arabs side who have been banging in goals from all angles. Jackie McNamara's exciting young team have netted 13 in three games, including last Friday's 5-2 thrashing of Kilmarnock.

Hearts' problems have been well documented – no money, a transfer ban, 15-point deduction and pleas from the administrator to fans to cancel Christmas and give the money to the stricken club.

Gary Locke's side is younger than United's but not as flamboyant and if United are in the mood they could run riot.

The Tannadice men are generally 4-9 to pick up the points and it looks a good place to start the treble

Next look at Harry Redknapp's QPR who are joint top of the Championship with Leicester and aiming to stay there. They have been extremely strong at home and blew away Bournemouth 3-0 in midweek.

Blackburn are the next visitors to Loftus Road and they're really struggling with just one win away from home and eight goals conceded on their last three on the road. They went down 3-1 at Ipswich in midweek and it will be a huge surprise if Rangers don't win.

They are a biggest 8-11 at Coral and Betfred and I expect another goal from Charlie Austin.

I'm going into the FA Cup to complete the treble with League One Rotherham at home to League Two Rochdale. Rotherham are flying with five wins out of six – but what's more impressive is they were all by three clear goals including 4-1 against Gillingham last week and 3-0 at Coventry.

They are into the play-off places after a poor start and should be looking forward to a tie against a side who failed to net in their last two and who were battered 4-0 by Scunthorpe.
