THE captains of England’s cricket, football and rugby union sides are under pressure, with Betway offering 2-1 that they are all replaced by the end of 2017.

Quite a simple one for the main bet today, I’m taking wins for Van Der Voort and K. Huybrechts together in a double “The Dutch Destroyer” Van Der Voort’s turbo throwing style is very effective and although he has been known to go off the boil at times in matches for the most part he pounds the treble 20 bed and it usually sees him rack up impressive volumes of 140’s and 180’s. Former PDC youth champion “The Maximiser” Hopp will likely find it hard to say in range of Van Dr Voort who should wrap up the win relatively comfortably.
“The Hurricane” Kim Huybrechts has shown flashes of brilliance in the past, most notably when he gave Van Gerwen an absolute spanking in the 2015 Grand Slam of Darts winning the match 16-10 with a 9 darter, twelve 180’s, five ton plus finishes and ending on a 104 average after 26 legs of darts! He hasn’t quite reached that level of performance again but he is still an extremely capable player and has that type of scoring it in his locker. “The Jammie Dodger” James Wilson has been with the PDC for just under two years now. He is slow and methodical and usually accumulates a fair amount of maximums but Huybrechts’ overall game is superior as he is generally better all over the board and on doubles.
Chisnall and Rodriguez interestingly met in last years worlds at this round 1 stage and it ended in a 3-0 sets win to Chisnall. Rodriguez did however take out the big fish 170 finish in the encounter so I’ll be having a bet on him to take out 95 or more.

Grenoble v Stade Toulouse
Grenoble are coming off the back of two humiliations and hard going matches versus the Ospreys. They have not one since mid October and are bottom of the Top 14. Toulouse are mid table and this is more due to their home form than their patch away form. They’re coming off the back of two expexted wins versus Zebre so spirits will be high. There is value in the Toulouse win here due to Grenoble’s poor form.

It’s a tough card tonight, but I may have picked out something I like..
Orlando Magic @ New York Knicks.
Magic have been playing some good ball lately, getting some big wins against tough teams.. Hawks on the road, and an emotional double OT win in Miami this week, a game which they had to fight to come back from a double digit deficit at half time.
The Knicks also came back from behind this week to beat the Indiana Pacers, some big performances from Carmelo, Rose and Porzingis – a third time this season that all 3 players have made 20+ points.
I’ve done a bit of research into Magic’s performance the game after an OT win.
Since the 2010-11 season Magic went 2-10, losing 83.3% of games.
Since the 200-01 season Magic went 10-21, losing 67% of games.
It would seem that Magic tend to struggle to keep the momentum going after an emotional win.
I definitely favour the home team in this spot, Knicks also have a couple of days rest before they play Boston Celtics on Xmas day, whereas Magic have a game tomorrow night at home to the Lakers.

VDV is known for his rapid throwing style which can be erratic at times, allowing his opponent opportunities. Hopp is good enough to win at least one set but I expect VDV to come through eventually.
Huybrechts has looked more like himself in recent times with more consistency in his game and I expect him to have too much for Wilson. Huybrechts reached the QFs of the last tournament, the Players Championship, where he was unlucky to lose to Peter Wright in a decider.
The last 2 bets I’m about to turn into a bit of a stats freak.
Since the start of October, Klaasen has hit 51 180s in 144 legs played e.g. 1 every 2.82 legs. The bookies have set the total legs line over/under 15. So if there are 15 legs played, based on these stats Klassen should hit 5.31 180s which he obviously cant hit exactly but 5 will do me.
In the same period, Chisnall has hit 90 180s in 248 legs played – 1 every 2.75 legs. Total legs set at over/under 15 here also so he should hit 5.45 180s if he was to continue on the same pace. Under 5.5 180s is the line set by most bookies but I decided to take the 6.5 for more comfort.
Clearly stats based bets don’t always land or it would be too easy but hopefully these 2 do.
