MONDAYS aren't usually the most exciting days of the week but the traders look to be treating us to a few surprises today that can be taken advantage of.
Nordic action is the order of the day, with Icelandic games galore and a bit of Norway chucked in for good measure.
ICELAND 4 DIELD- Bet365 (in-play)
Berserkir v Snaefell/Geislinn, 4pm
Our old friends Berserkir are back and open their league account against a team we were convinced would never be seen again on a bookies site the world over.
Snaefell set records of the sheer ridiculous last season when they conceded 175 goals in 15 league matches as they were trounced in every game they played. This included a 24-0 league gubbing and an astonishing 31-0 Cup defeat. This season they have merged with another side Geislinn, but the early form suggests that though there is some improvement there, they will still be struggling to put any wins on the board.
Snaefell's league cup record this season saw them lose all five matches conceding 19 goals and scoring 6. They also lost their opening Icelandic Cup match 5-1 to a non-league side so though it's been nowhere near as tragic as last season they are still a side that looks likely to struggle badly this season.
Berserkir are also a 5th tier side but have had a very impressive opening to their season and look to be a team who will be challenging at the top of the table. Berserkir reached the final of the league cup competition where they were finally beaten 3-0 by a KB side which is made up of reserve players from higher tier Icelandic side. During Berserkir's cup campaign they won every group game they played scoring 19 and conceding 9 and also had a 6-2 victory over KFS in the Icelandic Cup before crashing out in the next round to a team from the 3rd tier.
Berserkir could go to town with Snaefell here today if they get an early goal and if Bet365 have a goals spread or team goals on this match we'll be having a go at the big odds in this one.

Other Icelandic games to keep an eye on are the Skinandi v Kormákur/Hvöt game at 2pm. Skinandi scored 26 goals in five league cup games and face up to Kormákur/Hvöt who are new to the league system and a bit of an unknown. The only stats to be found on this side are they were beaten by 9-0 by Magni, a 3rd tier side, in the Cup.
Icelandic U19 action is also starting to reappear with the bookies. Last season fortunes were made on these games and even though it's early days there has been some gems already, made even better by the fact SportingBet are offering full markets on these games. There's not much form to go on but it's worth keeping an eye on how these games go in-play.
NORWAY
In Norway Ostsiden take on Skarbovik at 1pm in a game that should see the home side come out on top and hopefully bag a few goals. Also keep an eye around 6-7pm for some of the 4th tier Norwegian games coming in-play. Bet365 have been adding a few surprise games from these leagues in and last week there was some absolute smashings laid down with full markets available.

Berserkir are getting smashed in already here. Since I started to write this post they’ve gone from 1/5 to win to 1/16. Possibility that no goals spread will be offered on this one now if this keeps up.

Paddy Power has brought the Iceland 4 Dield game between Skinandi and Kormakur in with FULL markets.. hopefully same again for the Berserkir game.

Was too good to be true a game like this being in-play like we said at the start.. tragic news this is as was set for biggest bets in a long time here.
Been dumped from Bet365 in-play diary now aswell… gutted.
